can't agree completely. First of all, Punk is not 'trendy' at the moment at all (at least nothing I'd call punk). It problably used to be back in the late 70s (when 'boygroup' Sex Pistols had their moment) and again 94-97 or so. Of course there's a problem with punk and advertisement, but in the end, how do you know your local band plays in someones garage? Yeah, by advertisement, even if its only your friend telling you they're playing.
