hey guys i missed out on the 80s by quite some distance but im still loving it :P im trying some mixes on my channel and im trying any kind of music, if you could listen to my version of this song and tell me what you think i would be very greatful. it features Cajmar - Brighter days (house tune) for any fans out there. thanks again
Wow! Shalamar was the stuff back in the 70's and 80's. I loved just about everything they did back then. They'll never be groups/singers like that ever again. It's a shame that the group went through such a bad break up. Kudos to Howard Hewett, Jody Watley, and Jeffrey Daniel.
I love this song, but wtf is up wit the video??? Why is the bartender singing to a dude and are they getting ready to have a 3- some? Guess why they said it was gonna be a night to remember. lol
@97supernintendo one of the members in this video has a video on youtube where he did a really dope dance to this song on a popular dance show in the 80's. his name is jeffery daniels look it up.

@1976PVA His name is Jeffry Daniels and he did indeed create the Moonwalk. He is the bartender here. He and Howie and Jodie were all dancers on Soul Train when Don Cornelius decided to start a group.
This is my favorite song from The Original Shalamar and it's AWESOME and this song was a Top 10 Hit on the R&B/Soul Chart and their 6th Top 100 Pop Hit
This song was out when Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, Benson, One Day at a Time, The Jeffersons, Hart to Hart, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, T.J. Hooker, Dallas, Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, M*A*S*H, Trapper John, M.D., The Dukes of Hazzard, Alice, The Joker's Wild, The NEW Tic Tac Dough, BULLSEYE and 3-2-1 Contact were still on the air

@JasandVA Gotta watch jody Watley's Unfiltered on here (youtube) it fills in a lot of blanks and even has the original lead singer Gerald who speaks on what Jefrrey Daniels said about him waiting on a phone call. Howard Hewett and Dick Griffey ruined Shalamar
Yep, Howard started to get full of himself. He also made destructive decisions in his personal life also. Ask Nia Pebbles. We are all human. But the group falling apart was mostly due to Howard being made to feel that he was some how above the rest of the members. You live and learn. You hit it on the head.

This song reminds me of one rainy cold night in Los Angeles. I was selling cars for General Motors, and we had a brand new Tuxedo Black C5 Corvette on the showroom floor. I sat in those leather seats, turned this song on, and closed my eyes...HELL YEAH

1) "Love of My Life (Worldwide)" by Erykah Badu, Angie Stone, Bahamadia, and Queen Latifah
2) "Ain't Leaving Without You" by Jaheim
3) "Fool for You" by Cee Lo Green ft. Melanie Fiona
through Dance class.
(And thank God I did, these songs make my day)
