@soundman420 You have so much to learn. This sport does attract a lot of gay men, but the federations that govern the sport want to keep it as a clean, G-rated, family oriented sport.

@3Axel1996 WHAT thats just a mater of a FUCKING opinion you can't say something gay is G-rated or not you homophobic bitch. and the reason why there are no 2 guy skaters is probably because it's easier to lift girls and usually the girl is shorter then the guy so it's easier to pick her up it's not because ice skaters hate gay people. And ice skating isn't gay!!

@MrNonyabidnes And I didn't say ice skaters hate gay people. The federations tend to be conservative and don't want skaters to make a big fuss about their sexuality. That's why many don't come out until after they're done competing. Orser was outed because his ex lover filed a palimony suit against him. Search the clip about Rudy Galindo from 1996, it's about 10 minutes long and Christine Brennan, sports writer, explains it best about keeping gay skaters in the closet.

@MrNonyabidnes Oh, and I can name about 1/2 dozen to a dozen more skaters and coaches who are not out, but I refuse to out anyone.  That individual has to do it on their own first.

@MrNonyabidnes You have no idea what I was saying. I was indicating that there are many gay skaters, but the USFSA and the CFSA discourage skaters coming out and flaunting their sexuality. I did not agree about the sport should allow 2 men to skate as a pair, although there is such a discipline at the Gay Games.  BTW, skaters who are gay: Johnny Weir, Rudy Galindo, Brian Orser, Doug Mattis, Brian Pockar, Robert McCall to name a few. And I'm far from homophobic.

@soundman420 They do have same sex couples do stunt skating during exhibitions, but it's not done competitively...
