  • Stevie Nicks' voice is in top form here though i miss the usual Fleetwood Mac backup.

  • there's no one like you stevie....

  • Honestly, this performance sucks, she's so high and messes up the lyrics, and the voice sounds terrible

  • One thing I love about this show/video, is how real she is. Not a cookie cutter type of performer, she just brings whatever is in her heart and soul to the stages of the world. Stevie Nicks has the ability to touch her audience, pull them in, and make them not want to miss one SECOND of her performance! I know I never missed a moment when I went to see her. Enchanting. Breathtaking. Mystical. Original. Unique. So many things she is, I am just happy she is HERE. xoxo

  • She was such a bunny rabbit way back in the 70s/early 80s!

  • This song....has to be the most beautiful, haunting song of all time. It is just amazing, beyond words.

  • She just brings that little something extra to the table than all of the other female artists of her era and her fan base is so huge that after all of those years at age 63 she is still rocking out venues to sold out crowds everywhere!! She is so amazing - I am such a Stevie groupie & I am a happily married woman - I guess living vicariously through her maybe - Just saw her in Houston at Woodlands Pavilion and she was phenomenal, looked not a day over 50 & she was beautiful, a magical night!!!

  • everyone was on something back then who cares her talent overcame it , and she is still going strong

  • I agree so much with Mister Blue - Who cares about the drugs these great artists have taken? - They are true to their craft - they are true artists and nobody can deny them of their God gifted talent - the entire reason they were put on this earth. Stevie is my role model - a talented and beautiful artist, overcoming all of her obsticles and coming out of it stronger and better than ever!!! Also - WHO IS WTHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE!!!

  • I just wish others could see this 'gift and greatness' in those around them, instead of waiting for them to die or become famous......

  • I just wish others could see this 'gift and greatness' in those around them, instead of waiting for them to die or become famous......

  • sistersofthemoon

  • Saw them in 1982 in the desert of California,...saw Mick Fleetwood pour a bag of coke on his drums and inhale it,...Stevie was wasted, but beautiful, they were fucking awesome.

  • She's always looked pretty healthy to me!

  • It is interesting that so many people so often mention how messed up on drugs Stevie Nicks got. What is more interesting is that most people do not talk about the fact that if you could find one--JUST ONE--rock star that wasn't messed--it would have been a miracle. Stevie Nicks seems to one of the few who have admitted to the drugs--and that she sought help--from her drug (cocaine) dependency.

Stevie Nicks is awesome! A living legend that deserves her success!

  • i think its so cool that we have sites like youtube now a-days. It makes it possible for me to enjoy music that much more, I fell in love with Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac thru my mom's girlfriend, she always had it playing... Glad I have the chance to see how she performed live back then too.... Just saying, people dont have to be music snobs, just because someone wasnt born in your generation doesnt mean they're not allowed to be moved by Stevies AMAZING voice as well

  • The true ROCK Goddess!

  • stevie at her best great version thank you

  • SHE IS FUCKING GIVING ME A BONER!

  • She should not have been allowed to go on stage this night. Her voice is wrecked with too much stuff in her system plus she is whacked.

  • Sexiest Woman ever in Rock.......Call me Stevie

  • wait a minute baby. I appear to be lost in a sea of love somewhere close to you.

  • Thanks for sharing!!! Stevie's voice is magical!!! This song is my ultimate favorite!!!!

  • No matter where I am in the world when I hear the opening haunting melody then when Stevie start to sing this song my eyes always tears up and I choke up, a mixture of sadness for beautiful times never to return again and a mixture of joy for such an overwhelming beautiful and soul touching song as this. It speaks to me in a language that has no words, only feelings. Even as I write this my cheeks are wet.....

  • @balboaboats Well, I can only say this to u: "The feeling is absolutely mutual 1000000%".

  • @balboaboats same here ugh- i love this song- and the passion- truly a gift- underrated band- sooooooooooo many great hits and they rock and just pull raw emotion out of me and appears everyone else- sad and happy at same time they make me- how do they do that? :)

  • She was and is a lady. Never had to lean on anything but her talent and charm.

  • THAT!....WAS AWESOME!

  • I love this video, classic Stevie performance... I love her vibe!

  • I just want to say Sara has always been my favorite song and my stepsister would always knock me , and say she's all Sara'd out if I had videos, and this version Iwould have drove her out of the house! So again Thank You much.Really.

  • I absolutely love this song - simply wonderfull

  • @zlloxm Mine too! Love HER!

  • when you build your house call me ahhh shes just simply amazing..NO MATTER WHAT we all have our demons and look how she chose to express herself, ive never seen or heard such a beautiful expression!

  • Was this part of the 1983 " Don't blame it on me" tour? anybody know?

  • i think stevie is incredible.. saw her a few years back in charlotte with fleetwood.. i agree.. who cares.. if she was using... still, look at the talent .. and in charlotte, lindsay took care of her... :))

  • All I can say is thank you.!!!!!!

  • You have no idea, how much this song means to me. thank you so much.

  • bxck in the day we were all like STEVIE !!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU DUDE!!!! ! !

  • drugs u r so cluekess....look and sing like her and complain bitch

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS VERSION OF SARA ALL I CAN IS THANK THANK YOU!!!!

  • A triumphant song- wonderful!!

  • thank you for this version....Sara ..is it!!!!

  • Gorgeous song, I love Stevie, she is so amazing.. <3

  • she seems so much happier when shes alone on tour then with the fleetwood mac gang,,,i love it

  • My mom loved this song. She passed away 7 years tonight! Thought I listen to a little Sara for her.

  • THE BEST SONG EVER .......SARA

  • Stevie is always on her game....Lesson for you Whitney.

  • just love the way she moves man..she is her own person.nice spirit

  • She was clearly all coked up during this performance!~!! LOL

  • This is one of her most brilliant songs written as well as how she sings it so beautifully! She is the one and only Queen of Rock and most magnificent versatile of songwriters!

  • I love all versions of this song, but I must say the drugs were taking a toll on her voice and sinuses and her eyes look kinda dead here. Even with that said she is my all time idol!

  • You are a total idiot. Never mind the fact that she was on a TOUR at this time. You try to sing for two hours every night, back to back, and see if you get hoarse every now and then. At 5:26, Stevie should look at you and personally tell you to shut the f up.

  • @jeffreykthompson YOU TELL THEM LOVEY. iTS PART OF HER VOICE GENIUS to be able to deliver the rasp with feeling.

  • Yeah, she the best

  • all I can say is this was not her best performance but she is still a Goddess and pulled it off!!! I loved Lori's skirt so much during this tour. I made one by hand but with a light grey hue.. women wish me to leave the skirt to them in my will and i say i will be buried in it thank you, and laugh and walk away. Do not touch my sacred clothes.. or mess with Stevie too much as she Is my total inspiration since she first hit FM. and then learned more of her past when i fell in love with her style

  • My brother loves her,and he loves this tune,he thinks shes brilliant. He keeps making me play it,ive told him give up you never gona get with her give it up.

  • Most men that love Stevie are gay. I say that as a proud gay man and it's meant with the best of intentions, so if you think your bro is gay, I hope you're there for him. Stevie was there for me.

  • @devanchapin Damn I'm gay and didn't know it. Seriously though all men love Stevie.

  • @devanchapin Seems Stevies there for alot of ppl...her hearts that big. We should all be so lucky as one who can sing love and joy, even in the midst of pain.

  • one of my most favorite Gold Dusts!!!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I love Stevie, she has always recaptured the essence of each of her song live and shown a new facet to it.... Even now when she performes all her line-ups are amazing.....

  • its her song, let her live it.....

  • this is real life liveperformance...she is only human!!that was -sara- right that time on stage for her!! I like her voice so much in this one....the way she act...so free and the power to change this song to her creation..the one she feels for that night!!great...lovely...beautifull!

  • never play with this music. is sacred.

  • Amazing, she really did great on this version, and what a tough time for her with the drugs

  • its about a squirrel in her garden she once had. Hence the lyric "where you build your house I don't mind" The guy below is right, besides she must've been outta mind to date don henley the ugly cunt.

  • I guess your'e right but i couldn't do it.

  • fine, beieve what you want.... and don't call me an idiot.....

  • You idiots, Sara was a squirrel in Stevie's back yard when she lived in Coldwater Canyon. She nursed the squirrel back to health only to have it run over by some coked up punk in a vette on Thanksgiving 78. Stop believing that Henley crap from Rolling Stone.

  • The song is about Sara, read the book !!! I named my kid after this beautiful song, still love it!!!!!!

  • No, it' s not. Just saw this weekend the Fleetwood Mac documentary on the BBC where they told this song is about Stevie Nicks best friend Sara, who left her husband and ran away with Mick Fleetwood, just in the period she had an affair with the drummer.

  • Agreed!!!

  • What the fuck are you on about? Lol A child concieved with Don Henley? shut up.

  • Go check out G or Q magazine from the 90's where where Don told everyone it was about a child of his she had to abort. There is a later article where Stevie talks about how he to had to send her flowers for years to make up for telling everyone

  • you idiots! this song is about the child she concieved with Don Henley.. she was convinced to abort the pregnancy by Mick fleetwood coz he said it would mean the end of fleetwood mac

  • God, why all the negatives on your comment - it's totally plausible, if no even likely.

  • her voice it lays me down to lie

  • Who cares about all the drugs she was on. Seriously!!! Nobody is goddamn perfect. NOBODY!!! And anyone who likes to pretend they're perfect is a fucking liar. It's very easy for people to talk about others whose "dirty laundry" is already out in the open because then no one is talking about them... bottom line! That's the trouble with the world today... people would rather dwell on negative things instead of doing something productive.

  • i believe you spoke everything we were all thinking. god bless stevie nicks

  • @MisterBlue24 yep you got that right..agreed..

  • @MisterBlue24

    Amen to that! Well said!

  • @MisterBlue24 amen....ive been burnt so bad,,,I lost the dear person who called me his Sara....."dirty laundry " indeed.

  • @MisterBlue24 thanks for the sermon - Amen

  • @MisterBlue24 well said!

  • i saw her during this tour at the forum in LA. she was out of it. forgot the lines to gold dust woman. i was embarrased because i brought a friend after ranting and raving at how awesome stevie was. it wasnt a great show. i saw her about a week prior to this in irvine and she was awesome. i expected the same for the LA show, but the drugs made it so it was not meant to be.

  • I was there too. Wasn't the best show I've seen of Stevie's.

Thank god she got herself together.

  • I saw the show in Pitttsburgh and it was the same. She flubbed some lines to the songs. But she also nailed a couple of great performances too. I remember leaving the concert a little confused. But looking back, I wish I could go again.

  • My wife is the same age as Stevie and I think thats's cool

  • She's magic. There are few other female performers who can even compare to Stevie Nicks.

  • In my opinion, this the most heartfelt version of Sara I have ever seen....

    She cries it....

When you build your house, call me.......

  • ....Lindsay and Stevie....soul mates.

    Don who????

  • Well, I am certain that this did not happen recently,

as she is the healthiest she has ever been...

Isn't it funny that the same things that destroy a person make them so well liked???

    Bottom line...

Stevie Nicks is the most passionate, beautiful LADY ...

    and she always will be...

And all those ups and downs, highs and lows,

    make her who she is....

    A white winged dove........

  • @AbbeyDoor: You do realize that this was THE year that Stevie cleaned up, right? I mean, she's HUMAN. She realized that the drugs were killing her, and she DID SOMETHING about it. More than can be said for SOME entertainers. So while I'm sorry you were disappointed that ONE freaking time...it's a bit irritating to me (and other fans, I'm sure) to see someone sounding unwilling to recognize her frailty at the time and give her credit for CHANGING her life rather than bemoaning her past mistakes.

  • Ahh, regarding my previous comment...it was not in 1983 that she went to Betty Ford the first time, but rather 1986...my mistake. Regardless...it's really time to quit talking about drugs in relationship to Stevie, in my opinion. She's far beyond all of that now. She grew up to be quite a fine adult. heh ;)

  • I saw her in Dallas on this tour in 1983 and she was totally out of it. Sang the second verse to "Gold Dust Woman" first, then cursed into the miscrophone...then started singing "Dreams!"

  • I also saw her in 1983 in Pittsburgh and things were similiar. She flubbed Dreams really bad and sang the second verse twice. She nailed a few songs perfectly but she could get away with such things because in 1983 she was such a sex symbol. If you listen to Joe Walsh, he said they had to break up after this tour because they would have died on an overdose. I hate to say it but I miss the manic Stevie and her nonsense babbles on stage. The biggest shock is the US Festival, she looked perfect

  • No i can see she is Physicaly spent and mentally drained, cuould also could be related to her implant's she had that can cause Epstein Barr.

  • Her Implants???

    You are kidding right?

I think the Depression, and the Coke, and the liquor may be mostly to blame...

    For real? Epstein Barr???

  • Yea she had implants removed - it;s in behind the music or something. They were disgusting and she said "don't ever do that to yourself"

  • Wow.

I dearly love Stevie, and "Sara" is one of my all time favorites, but she's really off of her game, here. Missed cues, messed up lyrics... It's a credit to her band and her backup singers that they could follow her through this... I am SO glad she quit all of her demons and is still alive today, I LUV you Stevie... Forever and always...

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Loved it! Thanks so much for posting this!

  • if he mistreated her she wasnt a fool to let him go. but she said Don has always treated her like a wife and a lot of very nice things he did for her. he is very talented and succesful. all lindsey has over Don is a prettier face

altho Don still hot. she should've kept Don.

  • She was a fool to let Don Henley go. :(

  • i am so pleased to know this. and thank you for posting positive cooment. have been following her she and fleetwood mac since 80's --currently am trying to research her genealogy..nicks sir name derived from which country a scandanavian?.. that gorgeous timeless skin and quality hair she is like an unearthly creature.. and has a good heart - hopng to attend concert in madison square garden in nyc this March..

  • so very many ..inexperienced critics..please shut that whole in your face , for fear you may continue to embarrASS yourselves..stevie nicks is a performing artist - a composer ,,,and as real as it gets..

  • thank you for putting it out there, stevie is as true an artist as they get,she is legend,Have followed her since the 70's

  • Amen to that i just got out of rehab better spiritual experience and growth then all my years going to church.Stevie is beyond the best

  • this is stevie. if you dont like her high then you dont like her period. missed cues? real fans are all about her doing things out of the norm. she's not your robot!

  • To be fair, by then she had reached a point where getting high was affecting her performances in a negative way. Don't get me wrong, this is my all-time favourite song from ANY artist, but this performance unfortunately demonstrates the effects cocaine had on her as a performer. Missing cues is one thing, but mixing up the lyrics so blatantly is another. As for liking her high or not liking her high at all, I guess even Stevie was getting tired of her addicted self... which is why SHE quit.

  • i thought this was beautiful. and she looks like she was having fun.

  • @SabrinalovesStevie I always thought anytime she was doing her music, she was high because her art was her drug

  • the song slowed down makes her look bad more than anything else.

  • She always changes lyrics when singing, but the missed cues are sad :(

  • It makes me sad to see Stevie like this - missed cue's, wrong lyrics etc but thank goodness, she has pulled through and is better now.

  • maybe she was tired.

  • ...lol...

  • ok, high and tired? i wouldn't know if she was high cause i don't do drugs and she doesn't seem aout of it. anyway,

    still she looks beautiful.

  • FlamingCrystal

Thanks for posting these wild heart tour jems. I have this concert on VHS tape. I wonder why no one has posted any 1991 tour videos yet. I have a professional quality video from the Whole Lotta Trouble Tour in CA. Those would be a great addition to Youtube. It was a short tour but great.

  • soooooooooooooooo high, looks lovely though!

  • Oh dear, not a version to remember her, them and it by. That awful vibrato, the missed cues, the added bits that actually subtract. Kindest thing would to have erased this recording, not put it on youtube.

  • Beautiful.......Simply Beautiful

  • Stoned I'm afraid!

  • Sooooo what...

  • sooooo what judas2610

  • Capitol Centre? This is America! Down with Maryland

  • One of my favorite songs! Love this version! Thanks

  • Oh Stevie!...so gypsie! ______♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥_______♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ _____♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥____♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ _____♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥_♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ _____♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ ______ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ _______♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ _________♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥ ____________♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ______________♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ _________________♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ __________________♥♥♥♥♥♥ ___________________♥♥♥♥ ____________________♥♥
  • If you look at the way she's singing and her mannerism, it doesn't seem personal at all. In fact, she seems to be having a lot of fun here.

  • I absolutely love her voice!! Unique!

  • Don't like the synthesized 80s keyboards, but

otherwise a great performance of a classic. To think, she refused to perform it for, like, twenty years after this tour...too personal for her...

  • she is so beautiful:) She really doesnt get enough credit as an artist

  • its also interesting how she sings lyrics out of order while performing. was that good rearrangement or the drugs. and i 'm a stevie fan.

  • LOVE this song....No matter how many versions I hear this CLASSIC!

  • It looks like she goes into this song after the song (stand back) with the little girl.

  • Great performance! Stevie is fantastic...

  • This rocks... Stevie at her best

  • Nice find.
