Im presuming CLR is a sulphuric acid based drain clearer ?, I just used the UK equivalent , really works, but seriously dangerous, called EXTRA STRONG DRAIN UNBLOCK ER, 1/2 Litre liquid, yellow/ black box, says add to water, DON'T, huge acid cloud, use gloves goggle and go out doors LOL, wont be using too often for sure... looking for alternative now LOL...
That's a darn good question. Most folks want to go the base electrolyte route with NaOH and KOH, but vinegar is known to work as well. My thinking is if it's water soluable then it will probably work at least to some extent.
