Ragged Ann was played by Lois Sherman (my mother). She really loved doing the show until she had my sister and me and quit show business ... except she always did special appearances at our schools when we were kids.
All I can ever remember with Franz was him saying "You know what"? I always wondered why he did that. Well, I picked up Big Chuck's book on 47 years of Cleveland television and he said Franz never prepared for his shows and would say "you know what?" when he needed to think of something to do on the show! That's funny!
Well I don't know what all the fighting above is about but I am so happy I found this. I was looking for the Milk turning into a milky way bar commercial for a while, I am originally from cleveland so when I typed in the words and Cleveland showed up I thought hmmm maybe this is the one? and it is. I can't explain why this commercial meant so much to me but it did, probably because I still believe in magic Milk Milk MILKY WAY! YUM
Thank you,Mr.Sherman

I always wondered who played Ragged Ann in Franz' later years. She added a lot to the show.
I found out that Franz the Toymaker started in early 1964 and ended in the late spring of 1969.

This guy was actually one of my earliest memories of TV in Cleveland. I was born in 1963 so this must be 1966 or 1967.
