We were innocent and wasn't in war like WW2 they should have bombed the heck out of vietnam the people actually in the war.

After the US bombed cambodia and killed 600,000 innocents the Khmer Rouge came to power and killed up to 3 million. After all that, the Reagan administration gave Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge food, money and weapons plus a seat at the UN. They also supported Saddam during their reign. Thank God Reagan is gone.

Of course systemic intentional torture and murder is different from indiscriminate bombing from an aircraft. But surely pilots and most of those concerned "knew" that civilian deaths were likely, were probable. Thus, these persons were reckless, and reckelessness (at least under new zealand law) is murder:

Its ok for soldier with proper uniform to invades and kill people but its not ok for a third world soldier to shoot back an invader. When there are revolution there are killing don't expect five star food and hospitality.....who are you to judge but the third world cannot do judge or prosecuted you for war crimes.

KR took power when cambodia was completely destroyed, with cities full of refugees. I´m not saying Pol Pot was innocent but . . . 1-2 millions is too much.

Yes, TRUE, I did not want to believe it at first. But I read the evidence ... that US one of the backbones of Pol Pot success. When you think about it, how can Khmer Rouge killed millions of civilians and the world did not know during their Regime, when US was and is the world superpower and they seem to be in everybody's business whether they got the invitation or not. Khmer Rouge introduced, the word, 'hope', meaning to eat during their rule, when Khmer never ever used that word before.

Basically nothing. Most Cambodians don't even know about the death toll from the bombings. Many know but don't care.

Honestly JokerBoxer, Khmer can do nothing that really counts!!! Who will listen? Who would care besides Khmer themselves; however, Khmer ethnic group is such a minority that their voice may be heard, but NOTHING will be done! So what's the point? But this tragic decision on the American part will always remain in my heart! America called on so many nations on human rights issues, what about their acts of inhumanity? Who is going to call on them? It's just outrageous that this tragedy happened.
