  • @hoiei You're an idiot... (and for this there are two reasons) -.-

  • love this band!

  • What a great drum part. Amazing performance.

  • I seriously didn't know these guys were popular at all. Saw them with HHLL and HORSE The Band a few years ago.

  • sweet jazzmaster! :D but the vocals kinda suck :L

  • whooaaa major sound brah!!

  • I never noticed how much the singer sounds like the singer from The Dismemberment Plan.

    Awesome video

  • @cal9745 - there are a few old dismemberment plan songs that are exactly like so many dynamos.. though I do like so many's vocals a bit better.

  • Perfect!

  • crap with potential

  • potential yes, crap no

  • Good editing : ) , this song is pretty boss

  • this was just edited so badly..

  • Ge, thanks, @toddbeans.

  • @toddbeans looks good to me

  • Contrary to what you believe being "pop"ular isn't always at the top of artists list. I know plenty that won't sacrifice there dignity just to sell some records.

  • Yeah, though I don't even know if it's that's extreme. I think a lot of people just want to have control over their music (major labels own the master recordings of most of the bands they sign) and are content to hopefully get to a place where they can pay rent through recording and touring. It's also more fun to work with friends and like-minded people, which is rare with bigger labels simply because of the number of people involved in marketing a record.

  • the most interesting chord progression in this song they only use once, after the first "verse". the lead vox melody is not that interesting, and they get a good groove going, but it plateaus, and the song never delivers the knock-out blow it promises. i see it as a more needlessly complicated "talk show host", and should interest "musicians" more than "everyone". still, this band is good, and shows promise to deliver better and more straightforward pop songs in the future

  • Why would you want "more straightforward pop" songs? That's the last thing the world needs. Besides hyper-intelligent and organized bears of course.

  • straightforward pop song: (popular) rock song that is as direct and effective as possible. examples: any Beatles pop song, "Death on Two Legs" by Queen, "Talk Show Host" by Radiohead, several Elliott Smith songs, etc. it is important to disregard any disney / american idol style "pop"

  • ur fucking stupid if ur saying elliott smith's pop hed turn in his grave if he heard this shit

  • wtf? of course eliott smith wrote pop songs. thats what his genre was. your mistake is thinking that "pop" has to be gay and suck, like mickey mouse club miley cyrus katy perry etc. the truth is pop is the ultimate form of modern music, as evidenced by the impact the beatles had. pop rock is where its at, its up to us to legitimize it

pop - a style that is "popular", which means many people can relate to it and understand it

rock - something that kicks ass

    pop rock

  • i kno wat pop is and it isnt Elliott Smith.Elliott Smith wrote indie rock, folk songs not pop he wouldnt sacrafice creativity for whats popular

  • allow me to further clarify: regardless of the popularity of the song right now (in terms of how many people have heard it), a "pop" song is a song that many people can relate to, and enjoy. smiths songs fall into this category...in fact, "indie" and "folk" would be considered sub-genres of pop...and, of course, when pop kicks ass, you call it rock, or pop rock...this debate is boring

  • @angelfistbomb

in a way elliott smith was pop.

pop is modren music , you wouldnt call classical music pop.

  • @supermanJOEL2 well in that since i just dont know many people who listen to or even like elliott smith - im not that guy

  • holy shit organized fucking bears!

  • aren't you assuming that that these hyper-intelligent and organized bears will be malevolent beings?

what if they ended up being kind and helpful. i think we could use hyper-intelligent organized helpful and benevolent bears.

however i agree with your comment so long as the bears are malevolent.

  • It's true that bears are capable of affection, but after being singularly vilified by the majority of the human populace for hundreds of years, I imagine these bears, should they acquire hyperintellectual capacities as well as the ability to organize themselves, would stage a coup against their human dictators. After all, we're in control of manufacturing and distributing honey, which as I'm sure you know (as it's a scientific fact) is essentially bear-heroin.

  • awesome song, too bad ryan left

  • This is the only and first song i heard of them and i must say this band is already one of my favorites

  • I have that exact same keyboard. xD

He should've used the cat function.
