Aisha was raised to be a witness. Tha is why she was married young to the prophet. She observed the prophet and absorbed his wisdom for decades firsthand and therefore after death, became a valuable source of Hadith.
Quran, as interpreted by Muslim theologians, does not consider a woman worthy of being a witness. She can only be 1/2 witness in Islamic courts. How come Muslims believe the stories narrated by Aisha in the light of Quran? Isn't there a contradiction?

Quran, as interpreted by Muslim theologians, does not consider a woman worthy of being a witness. She can only be 1/2 witness in Islamic courts. How come Muslims believe the stories narrated by Aisha in the light of Quran? Isn't there a contradiction?

I am not questioning the credibility of Aisha. My question was about the basic contradiction in a belief that a woman cannot be a full witness for any ordinary event or deed, then how can Aisha be accepted as a witness? Is she exempt from Quranic laws?

A woman can be a witness as demonstrated by the example of Aisha (RA), but this is not encouraged because it will expose her to attack. Aisha is the only woman among muslims who has been attacked ferociously in the past and even today people attack her character.

2. Time have proved the inferiority of women theory absolutely wrong. Western societies are a good example. I worked with women all my career and can say with certainaity that there is no big difference. I found women to be better organizers and detailed oriented. Therefore, in that sense they were Muslims. The original message of bible and torah has been corrupted through the ages through continuous re-writting and exclusion of ertain gospels (amongst them the nazareans who refute any claim to jesus's divinity). The original is found now in the Quran the final revelation, of which only one version EVER existed and still does - the original since over 1400 years.
