wow really automatic :47 thats really lame i wouldnt want to be in this lame ass club i have a 92 prelude si with jdm h22a with jdm m2a4 trani full exhaust 2.5 dc headers aem intake lowering suspension HandR ON TSWs jdm one piece headlights and jdm corner lights all jdm interior car cost me 2000grand i put about 1 grand into it love my prelude hate automatics

That pink one is rice, and most have rims that are too big, lower the car, put some smaller rims, and it looks nice.

@sparkynight73 heres some info. get a new car. sell the one you've got to some ricer, and look into a toyota soarer, mr2, nissan silvia s13, or mach II toyota supra. i have my reasons for saying this, message me if you want to see them, because theres not enough room in the comment space for you to see all the reasons to buy a different car.

yes sr-v is the best type of 4th gen preludes... its basically fully loaded with leather heated seats/mirrors etc.. and sr-v type preludes come with (h22a) 195hp motor which is dohc vtec... like si version comes only with vtec, its not a dohc motor.. its just a single cam pushing around 160hp.. r u thinking to get a prelude or something?

but they r gorgeous and they have amazing control

so im definitely trying to close the deal quickly

actually i came back from the guys house n we changed the brake pads, the engine got cleaned and the oil filter got changed, put in new headlights and stuff but wen i decided to pull out we realized it has a leak under the engine, we tried changing the oil filter agin but it still leaked and the engine light in the car is on...so hes gonna send it to the garage and hopefully its nothing to expensive or serious:S so im gonna be nervous this whole week lol

oh shit ehh... yeah, it could be the oil pan might be leaking, or the oil pressure sensor as well/// or even one of the gaskets... it shouldnt cost much to replace any of those anyways soo no need to be worried....

it was the oil pressure sensor and the gasket..cost $300 to fix

but its oficially mines now...so im loving it

i recently got a 2.2 prelude its been in this country since 1999 its got japanese info stickers allover it mainley on the inside of the fuel cap flap am gonna skirt it up and make it look more flash than it already looks ure site as given me a bit of insperation

Looks like the UK got some dark blue for their 5th gen color;( I love the USA color of my Electron blue color lude. Only made it in the color for 2001!!!! :)

Personally I'd work with a H22 vtec and maybe slap NOS on it, more reliable than going the turbo route without spending £1000s

na if your gonna go with NOS I'd go with the h23...you can do a 150 shot on a stock engine...for a few runs...with the H22 i would boost it...all this is due to the compression ratios

Depends what you want, the block is reportedly stronger for boost etc, but the VTEC is the best engine in standard form.

I've now got the basics for a VTEC manual conversion, so watch this space ;D

i got a red prelude from 1992, i made it look really sick, soaped up an everything, the engine is really good but the mileage preety high 245 km. i drove it all the way to 210 but i deciding to put a vtec some, somene told me to put type r and add 2 twin turbos,

Depends how much work you want to put in. A VTEC conversion is simple in comparison to the Civic Type R engine conversion.

If you want Turbo you can Turbo a VTEC, but best to do block work first. Twin Turbo doesn't sound right on a straight 4 engine, twins are usually on V6s or V8s

hey , i'm a bit of a novice , i have full stainless exhaust system and induction kit in my 94 2.0 litre , does anyone recommend anything else i can do to get more out of it or is the 2.0l a poor car to tune up

With a 2.0 you'll never get that much more unless you go forced induction. You could lower it and fit strut braces to improve handing. Best to enjoy what you have and if you want more power, then maybe consider upgrading to VTEC :D

No, some of the earlier models 4th gen specifically speaking come with it as well.

On UK 4TH Gen models, the 2.0 was 2WS, with the 2.2 VTEC and the 2.3 having 4WS

Why's would you join a car club with an automatic? The first car who was filming was going slow as hell anyways, was so easy to pass. btw, i like preludes, but i own a honda del sol VTEC

To answer all your points, I own an automatic cos it suited me at the time I bought it. I was overtaken easily, as that's what we had planned for filming so wasn't caning it and finally for the record, my mates Del Sol B16 couldn't get anywhere near me.

2.2vtec type s will do 0-62 in about 6.7 secs but a non standard prelude like mine will blow most cars away.94 2.2vtec all the way!

Wasn't sure about the Auto when I first went to see it, but as I was commuting at the time, decided to have it anyway. That was 6 1/2 years ago, got no complaints :P

I'm getting a 97+ model, manual 2.2 VTEC with 4WS soon....For my first car! lol Seriously can't wait, these are such sweet cars for the price! Insurance on the other hand, have to have a stiff drink before I get a quote lol >:( still, can't wait till I get 1.

I pick it up on Monday, after it's had MOT and everything. Went out for a test drive, very nice :P Firm suspension, road holding grip, and very quick ;)

Just sorted out insurance and everything today, £4k for the car, £3.5k insurance :O
