  • Another box, so lets see what's inside this box. And another box, another box, anotherbox another box another box another box another box!! "shoots self in head"

  • "Lets see what inside the box... another box!"

  • that looks like it would tear my mobo right out of the case!! :OO

    do want xD

  • Can someone pretty please suggest a good CPU cooler for the 1156 that will fit in a mid tower ATX case? ... the best i've found so far is the Cooler Master Hyper 101

  • The V8 will fit in some mid towers

  • nice box !!!!!

  • Nice packaging by Tuniq

  • Well the person who designed the packaging must be happy to have half of this video dedicated to it.

"iTehTunePawd" It dose not matter much what make of heat transfer compound you use. What is important is not to apply too much or little, It is only a thin even film that is required.

  • excellent work!

  • That's a big ass cpu cooler

  • do u HAVE to use the fan controller or can u plug the fan into the motherboard?

  • does it matter what thermal paste i use for my CPU? I see so many choices for it on newegg and all different kinds come already with the coolers and CPU's so like what's up.?

  • The Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme looks like a 100% kick ass product, however I would go with the Corsair H50 instead.

I just don't see the point in a big, heavy, air cooled heatsink when you can now get a compact zero-maintenance 1-unit watercooler instead. Unless you have an aesthetic preference that supersedes performance and practicality.

  • Probably because any air cooler will outlast the H50 as they have no moving parts numbnuts.

  • People buy aftermarket CPU coolers for their performance not their life expectancy.

By the time those moving parts result in any failure the cooler will be outdated.

In-case you haven't noticed, fans also contain moving parts "NUMBNUTS".

  • I'll have the video review on this product posted on Dec. 9, 2009

  • rodney, where ist the "remember: never cut too deep, because you could damge the product inside"? im shocked xD

  • he thought itd be ugly, so he decided not to say he wanted to break it

  • hehe thats funny! he always say that

  • whats the best thermal paste>? im using AC5

  • well i think tuniq thermal paste is best but its hard to work with, at least i heard

  • hopefully he uses the MX-3 it came with, much better than AS5 and OCZ freeze

  • "Looks like a nice detailed manual" *Throws away*

I suppose you don't need such manuals, you've got a lot of experience with coolers.

  • i was about to say the same thing lol

  • You forgot to say that we shouldn't cut too deep, because it can damage the product inside.

  • hurhurhur...

  • Look like my Xigmatek Thor's Hammer S126384 but in cheaper..

I'm able to cool down my Q9500 OC at 3.4 Ghz without any needs of fans.

Agree this unit may cost less the mine but seriously when you come to add massive cooler like that you don't run an "stock" system.

I look forward to see it's performance.

  • some features are similar to CM v8.

  • omg thats mad. its huge

  • "We've got another box...Let's see what's inside this box." Who would have guessed that it would be another even smaller box? 1:15

  • i was thinking " i'm going to laugh if there is even a smaller box in there" .. i was right XD

  • Wow! That's huge.

    Must be expensive.

    Great unboxing once again.

    5/5

  • How do you clean it when its full of dust !

  • Compressed air.

  • compressed air... doh?

  • yo 3dgameman

i have a question to you

what codec and video editor are you using for HD video's and in how many frames per second are you recording it?

  • That thing is f'ing huge!

  • I miss him saying "Unfortunatly the motherboard tray is not removable"

    Bring on the case reviews!!

  • Mid towers should fit this fine. Its the height of the tower that defines it's size not the width; most full towers are as wide as their mid sized brethren. Also, the Noctua NH-D14 is currently the best CPU cooler, followed by the Thermalright IFX-14, Prolimatech Megahalems, and Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120.

  • oww man u forgot to say not to cut too deep ;/

  • Do you think this would beat a xigmatek dark knight in temps?

I like the look of the xiggy more though. :P

  • No, I don't think so. The last Tuniq Tower 120 was the second best CPU cooler money could buy, and this one is an improvement over that meant to compete with the Thermalright TRUE 120, which is currently the best CPU cooler.

The Xigmatek Dark Knight is just fine, but it's definitely not high end. I can mention at least 10 better coolers from my memory.

  • that thing is absolutely massive

  • That actually looks pretty ace, I'd like to see cooling benchmarks versus the V8 which I currently have installed.

  • I hope its under 6 inches tall.

  • it looks similar to the cooler master v8 cpu cooler !!! but the different thing is the colour it black (stealth black) but the v8 is red and black !!!!

  • Does that cooler fits on standard Mid Tower cases or does it has to be one of those big Mid Tower/ Full cases??

  • Has to be full-tower. It's tallness will mean that you'll either have to leave the case door open all the time or at least remove any case fans which you have installed there.

  • Geez... massive cooler :D

  • hey rodney im a big fan of urs can you do a review on the noctua nh-u12p cause i have one and i wanna see how it compares to others on the market

  • Thats a pretty big cooler. It would be interesting to see how it compares to the Cooler Master V9 and V10

  • this looks better imo

  • would probably win, it should be compared to the TRUE/Prolimatech

  • @Lvaneede does not exist one "V9" only exist V8 and V10.

  • Oh, yeah, the V8 is what I meant. I got mixed up with the Thermaltake V9 case, lol

  • whoa, a must have..

  • rodney please change ur knife it looks like uhm........ *prefers are realy knife*

  • wannabe thermalright 120 with the name

  • so its a box, inside another box, filled with a box

  • and whats in that box?

  • looks very cool, but the top, with a windowed side panel, will look very bland

  • I want one.

  • you never mentioned "never cut to deep because you might damage the product" in this video hahahahha

  • Because he wants you to damage it! Rodney hates Tuniq here is the undeniable evidence!!!

  • hahaha he's losing it

  • hahaha thats what im looking for in every unboxing video of his haha :))

  • this is first time you unboxing CPU Cooler..

  • 5* as all ways for the unboxing but the reviews on a few web sites are some wot on the bad side i mean bad side when it comes to this cpu cooler....

  • hey 3dgm, i was just wondering, do you think i should buy a corisair h50 water cooling, i have an i7 , not overclocked, 920. using the stock cooler.

  • why do you need an aftermarket cooler if you not overclocking

  • Because the stock ones are usually complete shit.

Because their normal room temperature is a bit higher than others.

People do things, usually have a reason for it.

  • well, uh its loud accually and water cooling would be cooler i assume and i would love to overclock by stupid dell uses cheap ass mother boards so tough luch there

might just totally buy a new mother board when ever this year warentee expires

    studio xps 9000

  • i recive this tomorrow :)

  • your videos are soooo awesome really ^^

  • I have this cooler but it is HUGE, my motherboard actually bends a little due to the size.

  • Just an FYI. All the review sites said the performance on this heatsink suck.

  • Awesome, so many videos today!

  • so if the fan fails can you take it apart to replace it as it looks like the fan is right inside the cooling block

  • I wonder how much it weight

  • ALOT i dont trust those coolers on my mobo in afraid itll crack it :O

  • That is why the retention plate is there to provide support, as well as you should have installed the brass standoffs correctly. As long as you aren't constantly moving the case, you will be okay.

  • Bit-tech done a pretty good review on this already.

Not so great next to the competition.

  • I saw their review as well. I really expected the performance to be a lot better, but I guess it's just more for aesthetics than for performance.

  • rodney is a pro unboxer

  • dang makes my 9500 zalman look like a Kids toy T_T. awesome cant wait for review.

  • i've always heard good things about tuniq, waiting for the review

  • You sound depressed today :(

  • I dunno..he sounds normal and kinda happy to me??? :|

  • man, that thing looks cool!

  • i got the tuniq tower 120. but not the extreme lol i like it alot

  • I should buy this, I mean...it's not THAT expensive...maybe I'll buy it a bit later.

  • Hope it cools as good as it looks....

  • that thing looks beastly

  • DEJA VU, I feel like i already saw this review :p

  • me too maybe it's his face

  • omg. is there any fan in there? just hopes it wont destroy my mtherboard.

  • its in the middle

  • yes there is a blue led fan in the middle and im pretty sure its a 120mm one.

  • Looks colossal.

  • I'm placing my bet on 100% KICKASS hope I win!

  • Comment removed

  • wow thing looks massive.

  • that thing is huge

  • Prolimatech MK-13 is huge :P

  • Looks very nice, Hope it works well. Will be waiting for the review.

  • mugen and hyper n520 are the best for the money

  • actually the best air cooling is the megatron (prolimatech MK-13)

  • There should have been another box inside that box.

  • one of the best cooler to buy takin into acc perf/cost especially on the antec 1200 with blue leds.

    thnx gr8 review!

  • Nice ;) looks HOT

  • nice... thorough unboxin Rodney as usual, I'm waitin for the review, looks really nice especially for an all black interior.

  • Nice looking cooler. I've seen other reviews on this one. I think TJHarlow did one if I remember right...My next cooler will have a pump and radiator attached to it however. This would be great for a client build though!

  • rodney what speakers would you recomend? z10 or something like that?

  • Ive been waiting for this one!!!

GBye good old Tuniq Tower 120! :)

  • that thing is hardcore lol

  • It looks really cool. But does it work with AM2+/AM3? I guess you'll say what it fits with in the review but earlier is always better :D

  • looks great!

  • Not one of my favourite CPU-coolers. Looks good, but not really good in other aspects. But maybe Rodneys review will change my mind...

  • Swiss army knives FTW!!!!

  • Come on! i want some temps! might buy it

  • that is, maaaaaaaaassiiveee, must pwn my CNPS 10x extreme

  • Great unboxing video as always :D

About that Ustream live broadcast, when is it starting, it's already 10:45pm here :(

  • i want it!!!! lol :P 5/5!!

  • why? you could answer something else but that, why? is there some reason?
