  • I love how you can make these numbers with only a few bolt ons and a programmer on the new trucks ie 6.7powerstoke & 2012duramax. Not dissing this 12v I'm a fan of the old school too ha its just awesome how far diesel has come. Only thing I hate is the smell of a dpf diesels exhaust, smells like straight ammonia.

  • @llyDMAXX Technicly you can tune mechanicly controlled pumps. You can tune it by turning screws ect.

  • @powerstroke8994 ya I have had any where from a 66 to a 80 on it, couldnt get the 80 to light with a 5 speed but the it should once the allsion swap is done.

  • @coletrain55 That run was with a silver bullet,It now has a much larger turbo on it ,after the allison swap is done I will get it back on the dyno,with some added timing it should be close to 700

  • @rsr530 Really? cause I know a few duramax that have over 1000hp an still have a allison, check out the videos of Trent Nell in his 9 second duramax or matt moon with his twin trurbo duramax running a allison or dimitri milard in the new diesel power mag that has a 1000+ hp duramax with a Allison

  • @llyDMAXX ANY built transmission with lots of money can hold that kind of power. but if you have a similarily built 47 or 48re or a torqshift it will be better....if you just have a tuner and a stock trans the torquesfit is the best. and the 47, 48 and 68rfe in dodges are the easiest and by far the best trans when built. allisons are ok, but not as good to build as the others...plus the crappy independentfront suspension wont hold on those, neither wil the aluminum heads on the dmax

    IFS an aluminum heads from a DURAMAX have anything to do with allison in my CUMMINS ? An no a built 47 or 48 re dont hold up in sled pulling trucks an thats a fact unlike you opinion about IFS an Aluminum heads on a Dmax,You might want to do more research before you stard brand bashing

  • @llyDMAXX Come on man every knows that a fully built 48re is a better racing transmission than the allison. The top dmax guy runs a dodge tranny. IFS is definitely a weakness for sled pulling and tie rod ends suck. Bottom line, you can have pretty quick dmax with efilive for cheap, but cummins takes the cake by far for blistering performance.

  • @cyclewhore Really ? cause trint nell has a 9 sec duramax with a allison an dimitri millard has a 1709 hp duramax on a allison an the trany was in perfect shape when torn apart for inspection,so you might want to double check about what you said an i have been sled pulling with my duramax all year an no problems with the front end,

  • @llyDMAXX hmmm 1709 hp duramax? where? the allison cant make up its mind on what gear to be in going down the track so a lot of guys have switched to the 48re. ask suncoast about the duraflight tranny. i still stand my ground on the IFS front end, tie rod problems are numerous, cant beat the reliability of a straight axle.

  • @llyDMAXX Actually according to the recent Diesel Power Challenge for 2010 Dimitri's truck only put out 1212 hp/ 1792 ft/lbs, just looked it up. They are right though, you can get a built 47re/48re for about $5600 ( thats for a Goerend which is pretty much the best trans for a Dodge) vs spending $8000 to get the same thing out of an allison. So when comparing side by side the 47re/48re beats out the allison in most places. Just my 2 cents though.

  • take the fuel plate out an grind it down,an take the little black hose from the wast gate an block it off so it builds more boost,an depending if your transmission is holding that power you can put bigger dilvery valves in an the best thing to put in it is a 3GSK
