I third-ed that lol. But in all seriousness yhea we cant just 'pack up and leave'. And escpecially now would be an extremely bad time for our troops to come home in-masses. Due to the fact that after everywar there has been a small recession in the US(due to 250,000 - 2,000,000 troops coming back the the US and needing jobs) so with our declined economy it would cause so much termoil. But yes, we are one of the leading world powers and need to act like it,finish the job, and finish it well.

And also, since this is what the war in Iraq is really about right now, it should be what get's alot of coverage; Soldiers helping the Iraqi people. One of the best ways to combat terrorism is to thin out their list of recruits by showing that Americans, and westerners in general, aren't evil. Of course, those that are terrorists still need their ***es kicked!

I have heard many soldiers themselves say the war is a mistake and the objectives are not clear and many innocent civillians are getting killed. my heart sinks every time i have to go to a military funeral. i cry harder that ever when i see our flag over a coffin. the friends i have lost. the brother/sisters i have seen killed. the mental scars. those things will be with me forever. just because im am home from my 3rd tour in iraq does not mean the war stops... it still rages in my head. the nightmares, flashbacks, mental breakdowns, and horrific memories of the war will continue to haunt me till pass from this life to the next.

No, you're all wrong, that's the beauty of your country; They're not over there fighting so that protests can be eliminated, the complete opposite in fact, they're fighting exactly for that right (freedom of speech and organization) and all of the other rights which Americans enjoy. To lose the protests would be to lose a true democracy.
