For everyone wondering the weight of the M17x, it is just over 12 pounds. I've had mine for about a year now. I take it to LAN parties and I can take it around my house to play games. I love this laptop. Its a beast!

those won't make a difference. Why? The 260/280m gtx is based off the G92 chip (Aka in Desktop land the Nvidia 9 Series). The new 300m gtx will be likely based off that too due to heat, size, and cost issues. Also, the price will be immense and you'll gain 5-10% performance points in most apps/games, but at the cost of a grand or so.
