he visto muchos videos de este tema yo tambien me lo se en bajo pero la tecnica que escucho e la version de album el puro bass track suenan los galopes exelentemente definidos y apart que en videos d iron maiden se ve que harris mueve el dedo medio el anular (o de anillo) y el meñique a la vez eso tambien creo q puede afectar en el sonido a ver si observas eso jaja

hey bro, tocas chingon ;) apenas me vengo enterando que Harris toca con 2 dedos, hace un mes los ví en concierto, y la verdad no le entendia a su tecnica, pero si ya comprobandolo y viendo que tambien tocas esta canción asi, se ve bastante difici! jeje, habrá que intentarlo...una pregunta.. conoces la marca Vigier?? (francesa) sabes que tan costosa es?? me encanta su sonido, pero no consigo mucha información de precios ya que en mi pais no venden esa marca!

@xAmarokx Yo no le doy con las uñas. Cierto es que las tengo que llevar muy cortas, y si me descuido y crecen enseguida se me escapa algún uñazo. De todas formas también depende de la posición de tu mano y tu técnica. Se puede tocar más con la yema, más con la punta de los dedos...

You are the closest than anyone on You Tube at having the "gallop" down! No body ever gets Harris' "gallop" correct! In between the triplets (gallops) Harris does a left handed string mute. It is very fast, which is why no one ever picks up on it, but it is very important as it separates each triplet. Listed very close to this and The Trooper and you'll hear it. The way he does this mute is he (for a split second) lets up off of the fret, which silences the note.

La parte digamos técnica la tienes dominada, pero el verdadero arte de tocar Maiden está en hacerlo en el modo Steve. El sonido metálicod el bajo de Steve no se condigue con la equalización, el secreto está en golpear las cuerdas con fuerza para que reboten en en mástil y los trastes. Tocar the trooper apenas moviendo los dedos no tiene gracia, lo bonito es tocar cómo Steve y dejarse la piel en al bajo(en el sentido figurado).

i found that when i play the gallop, it makes it easier to use the floating thumb technique, then you don't have to worry about accidently hitting the lower strings. this song inspired me to learn the gallop, good attempt too! :)

You phail. I personally play with my fingers, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with playing with a pick. It gives a more punchy, articulate tone with a nice treble boost. I'm a firm believer in "Play however is comfortable to you," and closed-minded people like you do nothing but annoy me. Anywho, back to the video; nice right hand technique, Steve would be proud. True, I usually use my fingers instead of a pick, but it also depends on what kind of tone you're looking for.
