The mods in Orange and Los Angeles County in California in the late 70's and early 80's lasted just a few years and really was a construct of studious middle and upperclass students very unlike the scene in Britain which had many working kids attached to it as well as the middle and upper class kids. Probably find an old scooter or two in someone's garage around there.

Quadrophenia reminded us of our potential in life and fufil it.
