I think the pros can handle pesky pushes. Gael is certainly not a pusher. Anyone who thinks he is, or thinks that you can make it that far on the ATP tour by pushing, doesn't know tennis.

Monfils doesnt hit the ball all the time, he just PUSHES the ball back in play and waits for his opportunity to pull the trigger. a total counter puncher. so i guess technically he is a pusher after all..just at another level..

Look at how Monfils doesn't control the point at all. He's just scampering around retrieving balls. Notice how almost all his shots land in the middle of his opponent's court.
