Great job to Kaio. Glad to see he moved to 2nd on the list above Kitanoumi. Sad to see Kotooshu lose, but he does this. He has a great first week and then chokes in his second week. =/

Kotooshu had a solid strong tachi-ai and Kaio tried to take advantage of Kotoshu's momentum by going for an arm drag, which didn't look strong enough to send Kotooshu out. Kotooshu had enough space to stabilize himself and face Kaio, which he was in the process of doing, but he is a clumsy guy sometimes: Kotooshu slipped and lost the match. He's done it before, and he'll do it again.

I think Kaio surprised himself at the end that his strategy actually worked!

I say it again, in sumo, you just NEVER know...

Big congrats to Kaio for overtaking great Kitanoumi for the second place in total makuuchi wins!
