well here's how i see it, Atreyu, makes REALLY good music, period. they're songs have more meaning then Slipknot, BUT Slipknot can actually perform better live. they know how to get the crowd worked up faster than Atreyu because Slipknot's music is so fast-paced and intense it drives people... plus Slipknot is crazy live, living up to their Hardcore reputation. i remember going to a Slipknot concert, at the end the guitarist broke his own arm... and they punch theyr fans in the face.

Atreyu did follow this trend that started in late 2006-2007 of going "softer." I can't really say they copied anyone in particular, but the definitely did get a label change to a major label and make their sound mainstream. I can't say they did that for no reason. They really did piss me off despite the fact that i like their music when they fucked everyone including themselves over for more money. There's no doubt in my mind the money was the reason, there's no question about it.
