I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old TR PI Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Mercedes vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!
I mean, I work out normal running ie engine speed and throttle positon, so engine drives the pump and the throttle moves a valve on the pump so that both throttle and speed effect fuelling, but what I dont know is how does it provide extra enrichment when u floor the accelerator?
Nice video nice car .I have just restored aTR6 myself and uploaded it to you tube along with other TR cars. My car is the last one on the video. Please see my channel
My brother swapped out the twin Strombergs for triple webers. Also did some engine mods - cam, CR, headers, etc. Made a huge difference on the North Amercian spec car.
sounds great, gotta love the hardtop. careful your driving on the wrong side of the road! keep them triumphs on the road over there, we're doing our best over here. good luck!
I had two TR6's, both white. The '71 had the hard top, overdrive, and wire wheels. The '69 had none of that. Worst of all neither had PI. We here in the states got stuck with two ZS carbs. I do still miss the sound though. It wasn't too much different from this car even though it was probably only around 105 bhp.
Nice! A "proper" TR6 AND a realistic bhp number associated with it. ...gettin' pretty tired of seeing all those 500 hp (i'm rollin' my eyes!) whiny-ass supercharged ones! ...I mean, it's a TR6! Supercharge your Civic! ;)
Brilliant! I am jealous...all I could get is the carbs on my N. American spec. TR6. She is a 1976 built in April, one of the last before production stopped forever in July.

how does the injection work?

Lovely, but looks like you are not running any filtration! One large speck of crud, and you'll melt a piston surely?

Cracking car, and a great sound. But isn't your injection out of sync?:p
But seriously, how difficult is it to keep the injection system in check?
