@redghost105 the power rating will for the most part, along with beam diameter, define the burning power. The blue laser should be dimmer than the green one though. Not just for the eyes ability to see it-you're putting the same amount of energy as the green one into a higher energy per photon beam, so it should be less intense.
@redghost105 if they're the same power rating it shouldnt matter much. anyway if you want a cheap one around 200mw red might be best. they seem cheapest although you cant get them as powerful as green ones usually. I still wouldnt call a 200mw laser of any good quality cheap though. o-like has a good mixture of value and quality, the larger sites are rip-offs and the very cheap sights lasers are always underpowered.

I have a 225mw Blu-ray and when focused and a floppy disk is at the right spot, the laser will go through a floppy disk in 2 seconds. And could slice into your skin, I need to find a hot dog or something to simulate a finger though to try it. 225mw will easily cut white paper, and slice plastic bags. 400W lasers are used to cut steel.
i work at channellock and the logos are laser etched on... we use 1000w lasers.... i dont know what the mW is on that, but i know for sure that its not "cutting" it at all... i would say you need around 5000maybe more to even think about cutting it.... well i guess it might cut a piece of aluminum can at the rate for about an inch every hour...
synic you will probably find that the laser your working with is 1000mW which is 1W a 1000w laser could cut through a house, slowly, but it would get there.
mW is for milliwatt, if u didn't notice d letter 'm' is not capital. if MW then it's a megawatt...notice the 'M' is a capital? lyk ur laser cutting machine, it's a 1kVA, also as known as 1000W as in VA=W (P=IV)

I have a 225mw Blu-ray and when focused and a floppy disk is at the right spot, the laser will go through a floppy disk in 2 seconds. And could slice into your skin, I need to find a hot dog or something to simulate a finger though to try it. 225mw will easily cut white paper, and slice plastic bags. 400W lasers are used to cut steel.

i work at channellock and the logos are laser etched on... we use 1000w lasers.... i dont know what the mW is on that, but i know for sure that its not "cutting" it at all... i would say you need around 5000maybe more to even think about cutting it.... well i guess it might cut a piece of aluminum can at the rate for about an inch every hour...

synic you will probably find that the laser your working with is 1000mW which is 1W a 1000w laser could cut through a house, slowly, but it would get there.

mW is for milliwatt, if u didn't notice d letter 'm' is not capital. if MW then it's a megawatt...notice the 'M' is a capital? lyk ur laser cutting machine, it's a 1kVA, also as known as 1000W as in VA=W (P=IV)
