@MushroomPatch I'll have to research this...I really don't know much about what Turkeytails can medically do for anyone. Thanks for showing your setup!
@joejumps4fun Turkey Tail (Coriolus versicolor) is a small polypore composed of overlapping thin, fibrous bracket mushrooms that can be found covering large areas of logs. Turkey tail has been extensively researched in cancer studies having very positive results for several types of cancer including lung, breast, cervical, stomach, liver, and prostate . When used in conjunction with chemotherapy, turkey tail has been shown to significantly reduce side effects.*
Yes...out of plexiglas but the lid must have holes. That made it difficult. Good thing is that light entering from the side of the chamber is just as good. Yah!
thanks for replying so quickly ...I was just curious ...in reality ...I'm having a wonderful adventure of harvesting 'shrooms that are growing abundantly in my very own neighbourhood (in season, of course) ...I've created opportunities to have dialogues with neighbours as well as an abundant free food source.
...I'm exploring the local food idea & ...moneywise I'm having huge free success ...there is a cost in terms of time yet the multi-tasking potential is phenomenal~my time is a treasure
That is a tall order. Well, I got a DVD and a Liquid Mycelium Syringe from Mushroom Patch ~ MushroomPatchCOM. Main equipment needed is a large Pressure Cooker. GOOD LUCK! DVD is LETS GROW MUSHROOMS.

I didn't know you could eat turkey tails! I'm going to the woods right now to find a fallen tree....

@joejumps4fun Actually you would dry it out and grind it to a powder to use it as a tea for medicinal purposes.

I'm sorry but I don't have that kind of info. I'm sure you can find something online.

does it always have to kept at the same temperature?

@Feelthefx No...not really. Although...it should be kept, at least for shiitake, between 50-70f for best fruiting results (at least for this strain).
