  • Thanks for upload, I enjoyed this very much

  • THIS IS USA!

  • lmao, i'm readin all tha comments, and sheiooooot this is all so funny listenin to what ya'll typin..../wynn

  • I remember listening to the white blues bands back in the sixties and now I can appreciate the influence of Little Walter, who is not exactly a household name for many people. Check out the Super Blues CD, feat. Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, and Little Walter! Critics have said that this is so-so, but it kicks ass. Also, the "Definitive Chess Collection" of Bo Diddley, all recorded between 1955 and 1957, which features Little Walter on several of the songs.

  • Hound Dog Taylor was so underrated. This is Hardtime Blues...

R.I.P. Little Walter, Hound Dog Taylor, Muddy Waters, Skip James, Son House, Earl Hooker, Koko Taylor, Willie Dixon, T-Bone Walker, Elmore James, Memphis Slim, Etc.

  • Somebody write the lyrics in here? all of the ones I found on the net are wrong...

  • This is real BLUES

  • Omg I love this!!!

  • -u cant really tell little walter does all the stuff he did until u look at his hands he go some big ass hands and is tall ass fuck but sheesh ill still baggggg lol : )

  • Excellent stuff !

  • It doesn't get any better than this ! The Dog & Little Walter together. Wow !

  • Why did they delete your account? Too many "likes?" I see 902 right now. That's pretty wild...guess I'll add my own. By the way, I've got some raw slide guitar blues on my channel. Check Underground and Susanna Jones especially, for that kind of thing.

    Well...thanks for posting this.

  • You could have someone play double the notes that Little Walter is playing and it wouldn't sound half as good!

  • ahhh wow, if this isn't just the coolest little piece of laid back work the Dog ever did. I just keep watching it over and over.

  • @Philby62 The Dog is the coolest out .Drank Canadian club and played his heart out at Francine's.

  • This is some damn fine blues playin'...

  • what would I give to play with a bass player that can walk a bass like that ?

  • Gotta love HDT's Bottleneck Blues and Walter's gin soaked high voltage Mississippi Saxophone. I'd like to hear em jam on Mean Old World, I Need You(?), The Sun is Shining, Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights), or Give Me Back My Wig! HDT and Walter aren't given nearly enough credit these days.

  • The 6 muthafukkers who dislike this have no soul!

  • It's hound dog taylor's birthday today.

I hope god like his slide guitar lessons, because you were the best Chicago blues slide guitarist that ever lived.

    Happy birthday hound dog.

  • ITS NOT THE GEAR ITS THE HEART AND SOUL

NO GEAR 2000 DOLLAR AMP OR 10000 NEUMAN CAN MAKE ONE BLOW LIKE MARION JACOBS

  • i agree...Lil Walter was great!!! Reputation is still just as great!

  • little walter on harp is like jimi hendrix on guitar but before jimi that's the sound he has 50 years later people are still trying to figure out how to get his tone same with jimi people try to sound like jimi but nobody can master there sound because there not jimi most of them are not left handed and there certainly not little walter i play harmonica and don't try to mimic sonny boy or walter but damn do i respect them and who doesn't want to learn a riff or two from the legends i know i do..

  • the only real blues

  • SHIT WALTER ,HOUND AND BREWER HAD COME FROM DEEP DOWN BELOWFUCK THE SHIT THAT DO NO GOOD BEARBONES CHEAP MOTHERFUCKEN BASS SOUND GOOD AS SHIT ROCKFUCKPLAYS MAN SHIT THAT MAKE IT HAPPEN IS CALLED SOUL SOME HAVE IT SOME CONCENTRATES ON SOUL TO COMPETE WITH FUCK THAT WAS BORN WITH

IT LIKE RICE JRTWO SR RICES SON

  • Can it get any better? What an amazing clip, and the sound is perfect!

  • For me, this is like having a video of Zeus or Odin. These were gods of the blues. No one was more down home than Hound Dog Taylor. Little Walter does a great job of backing him here. This is absolutely the real thing.

  • From what I understand Little Walter's Last gig was one with Hound Dog Taylor a night or two before Little Walter Passed on. How Poetic. God Bless Both of'em.

  • Why does America ignore its roots in music

  • Hound dog Taylor is great he really rocks the house and little walter what can I say he's a legend

  • Walter sounds great here, and to see him live is sweet!

  • I wonder why at school there is no blues lessons!

  • @djsundancekid because you cant learn the blues you have to live it.

You can lear scales and chord progression but you wont have the soul that comes from living it

  • "Blues Harmonica Player " is the new worldwide stage for Blues harp players to share their videos and ideas. We need guys like you who can play, upload your videos, help manage our forums, and be part of a movement that will go worldwide. We are backed by some of the best blues players we can find. “Like” us on Facebook and spread the word.

  • Go to find everything about hound dog taylor!! He's one of the greatest bluesmen...

  • Finally, an actual video of Little Walter!

    Thanks

  • Man, Theres's nothin' like the Blues!

  • awesome recording thanks for uploading!

  • look at these cats...all dressed up for church...never seen hound dog without the hat

  • HAHAH 666 LIKES!! its true you have to sell your soul to the devil to become a real blues man!

  • Such a shame, and almost unbelievable, that there's no footage of Walter playing amplified harp and singing!

  • amazing slightly pre-motown melodic bass...great rythm setion

  • Who needs producers and 128 tracks mixers?

  • just great I didnt know the two ever played together let alone this film!!!!

  • TOO DAMN GOOD!

  • Skinny man, big nose, cracked voice, and an achin' heart. blues baby.

  • great video!

  • Little Walter is the Jimi Hendrix of Harmonicas!!!

  • @cowie86 well said, but it's gonna take some real, deep feeling to equal this. Hey people, this is the blues. Let's just enjoy.

  • I hate comments about how music now can't compare to this, how no one now makes music like this, how we're never gonna see this again. If you've got 2 hands with at least 2 fingers on you can learn to play guitar or drums and if you've got breath in your lungs you can learn to blow harmonica. These guys didn't get to this stage by listening to Robert Johnson records and saying "music now can't touch this". If you like this music then learn how to play it and then write your own.

  • Little walter is my hero!

  • if little walter aint in heaven send me to hell

  • @casu3 That's why Mark Twain once said "Heaven for the climate, but hell for the company"!

  • Comment removed

  • heal me

    don't fight it

    just heal brother

  • jesus. I didn't know hound dog went back to 67. Another one who got dick from the brits and hippies. I'm sure nothings truly deliberate, but fuck, I personally think he should'a got one top a pops tv show with the stones. Money.

  • RIP Little Walter, all these years later, you still give us goose bumps when we hear that harp

  • I think this clip is the only film of little walter?

  • I can feel this music in my soul!

  • dammit, now I'm on a Blues kick. It's been a while... Blues is good for the soul... wonder if it can heal any other stuff... :)

  • HOT DAMN! What year is this?

  • @DLOIN15

    1967.AFBFestival

  • hound dog taylor and little walter are blues legends... and that's coming from a white metalhead! I love the blues

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • Damn you can tell the singer had native american in him lol

  • this is it.....

  • @MrBluesdelux Me too, as the man said `everybody know the hound`

RIP Hound Dog Taylor - Miss you man !!!

  • Here's the player we all copy.

  • Hound Dog & Walter-THOSE are two CHARACTERS! Is that John Littlejohn on bass?

  • @tomlynch42 Bass player is Dillard Crume.

  • who are the six dumb fucks who gave the thumbs down? this is great music!

  • seems really strange to see hound dog all dressed up like this. he looks good. one of the greatest slide guitarists of all time, and little walter... enough said. great stuff!

  • Some harp players say that Little Walter lost all his talent and couldnt play well. Come on now. He's playing better than we are. And all his has are his chops and marine band. Most of yall have $100 harps, $2,000 amps and $500 mics, trying to capture "the tone" hahaha...and still cant tell what kind of equipment you have. LOL... Just blow the thang. Peace.

  • @cedricleecason amen to that

  • @cedricleecason I play the harp.

you are right, a few of us do get $100 harps and hope to get his sound.

When we try to get his "sound" we are talking about him playing with a amp.

  • @MrEpeeJoe I'm aware of that.

  • @cedricleecason $100 harps? LOL which harp would that be?

  • @surrealIdeal LOL...you havent heard about 'em?? Seydal, custom mades etc...

  • @cedricleecason yeah but you said 'Most of yall have $100 harps' while you should have said 'some of you have $100 harp'... so LOL

  • @surrealIdeal Are you serious

  • Little Walter wasn't just a musician, He was a real GANGSTER.

  • Great electric blues combo.

  • i love this one

  • @krackerelite1 Ow me tooooooo owwwww yeah!

  • Wow! Thanks for posting this video! This song has been one of my favs. for forty years; now I get to see them play! Hound Dog and Little Walter? Just classic. And yeah, Hound Dog Taylor cut off his sixth/pinky finger one night, cause he said "It was just gettin' in the way" (!) Gross but true.

  • little walter my no.2 harmonica player of all time.awesome!!

  • terbaek !!!!!!!!

  • Legend also has it that jimmy witherspoon had his chin removed and sellotaped to the back of his neck.An artificial chin was fabricated from cake mix but melted after a midget smoked a bong under it during a sandstorm. He then had his head removed and stuffed into a doritos packet before it was kicked into his neighbours cabbage patch and then his three legged mother ate a spanish fisherman. It's all swings and roundabouts in this game i tell thee.

  • hound sings diferent here

  • true music.. back when it was real, these guys lived and breathed music

  • I pretty much dig anything that Little Walter did.

  • Legend has it that Hound Dog Taylor had six fingers on each hand and his Mother had three breasts. He cut one of the extra little fingers off with a razor but kept the extra one on the other hand. He had massive thumbs too. There was a feature on him in one of the guitar magazines with a photo of his hands and an interview with him. Good time raucous player!

  • Wow GREAT UPLOAD !

  • Lille walter var ju en renlevnadsmänniska av stora mått!!!

  • ok, in eng, greate music!!!!

  • Herregud så ska det låta!!!

  • My Favorite Hound Dog song, great vid and yes, a sharp looking man this one lol.

  • Digg That.

  • Hound is lookin' sharp in this video

  • What a cool song with cool performers. It something real about the content. Can't help but play this over and over again. Great stuff!!!!!

  • Ooooh! Broad shoulders and a little peanut head!

  • Si hay una musica autentica, esta es una de ellas

  • Great raw blues!

  • THE BLUES ARE MY ONLY SALVATION!

  • @catdog420 fuck yea

  • walter looked so lean and mean, dude got killed in a streetfight some months after this was shot, anyway epic video.

  • Live by the sword... Walter was a crazy ass nigga lol

  • hound dog looks like pete townsend

  • They must be kin.

  • Woaaaaaah! your right.

  • Bluesboy thank you for this video...fantastic stuff...and i'm so glad there are young guys across the planet still listening to the old blues!

  • Really good and interesting to note that the bassist and Hound Dog played relatively cheap instruments like Silvertone and Harmony.

I like the way the bassist changes his line in last 1/4 of the song around 2:19 too.

  • sounds alot like dust my broom by elmore james

  • the hounddog had 6 fingers!!

  • DAMN!

  • hound dog's voice is incredible omgg

  • thanks for posting this! hound dog was boss! and with little walter yet! premium-size nifty and just plain super-ass cool!

  • Kinda strange that this clip of "American" music is from European prime time tv while the US masses back then had only Ed Sullivan with British bands that named themselves after these guys or their songs ...

  • There is nothing strange about it. The United States was an apartheid state. I've said it before and here I'll say it again, if it wasn't for those white boys from England (excepting that no good thieving bastard, Jimmy Page) no one would know these guys' names. In America, all they would have gotten was stolen from and robbed blind... à la Pat Boone and Elvis.

  • @Hoopermazing

No need to argue about the apartheid stuff, even thought the Brits weren't exactly known for their acceptance of all races back then - or even nationalities - Just take a look at Charlie's take on the "Irish Question".

There were many more musicians - white and black - in the US who played this music (better) and listeners who enjoyed it, without having to be fed public school boys' music by some under assistant west coast promo creeps: it was a question of Kapital, not kultur

  • @TreeLeg You obviously disagree with Muddy Waters who said that the Stones helped to get his career back on track through the interest shown in their music. Also the Stones were not public school boys. Finally I don't think that Germany has a great record on accepting other races.

  • @goatface1000 McKinley was a very magnanimous man, I ain't from Germany, except for Keith, I believe that all Stones were products of UK "public" schools and the US has long since topped anything Adolf could conjure except maybe the ovens. Which is probably one of the main reasons that real blues music can only come from place between Beantown and San Diego.

  • @TreeLeg Wrong Jagger was middle class but actually went to school with Keith. How has the US topped Nazi Germany? That is a really silly thing to write. If it had not been for the white boys from England playing the blues generally very badly then a lot of the blues guys would have faded into obscurity. The fact that some people would rather listen to Lep Zep rather than Muddy or Wolf or Robert Johnson just goes to show the lack of taste that some suffer from.

  • @goatface1000 The US topped the Nazis by far: Hitler was at war for about 6 years, the US has been at war + invading foreign countries more or less non-stop for almost 70. Sometimes under führer who weren't even elected. & the US has also not bothered to observe the rule of law. To deny such facts is more than "silly". As for the Stones, Muddy shoulda thanked the under assistant west coast promo men who put them on the charts & left out all the white and black US players who did it better.

  • @TreeLeg Whilst I agree that US foreign policy has been conducted in an aggresive fashion it cannot be compared to the horror and evil of the concentration camps. The US have never conducted genocide on an industrial basis. Six million jews died as a result of that madness. The blues were ignored by black America by the time the Stones were around, if it had not been for the sixties blues boom which started in England many of the blues players would have their careers ended.

  • blues is the soul..the blue artists created everything we know as popular music nowadays.

in this video. the performance of little walter is great. He is the best!

  • Get Down With The Blues!!!

  • feeling the blues

  • Nice up man. That's some smoldering down home blues power ya all.

  • In my early teens while learning to play the blues; Hounddog Taylor, Little Walter, Elmore James and Muddy Waters were my biggest influences but The DOG started the big blues ball rolling.

    One of my friends said,

"Hey I heard about this new label called Alligator and you've GOTTA HEAR this record I bought." The rest is history.

God rest you Mr. Taylor, I'm sorry I never got to thank you.

  • Love this performance, Electric Delta

  • He was my first musical hero, I began playing harp back when I should have been in school.

I was a street performer & by shear chance I was picked up by one of the founding fathers of the Aussie blues scene.

I had one rehearsal & the next week I was supporting one of the biggest blues bands in Australia. The rest is history & I'm 40 next year have many wonderful, funny, tragic & enlightening stories to go with my experiences.

  • Sho is. Clean as could be

  • i never get sick of this awsome clip! i watch it almost every day , damn the good time's are gone =/

  • Awesome!

  • The bass player is really layin' down a groove ain't he?

  • Yes, he is. Who is he?

  • @rievans57 Haven't you wathced South Park according to Cartman all black people have a Bass Guitar in their basment. This is a great vid. No racist intentions on the remark it was just a funny scene on South Park

  • @rievans57 lol Sho is!!!!

  • @rievans57 Sho nuff!

  • @rievans57 thats brewer, he went on to play a telecaster guitar instead of a bass layin down that same bad ass groove for the dog ;)

  • Remember when black music was great?

  • !prrrrrrrrr!

    [#FART#]

  • asshole!!!!!!! you're some white boy that wishes he was linn chess

  • What the fuck are you talking about? It's not rocket science or revolutionary; black music was better from the 70 on back. It's just the truth. And what the fuck if I am white? Are you some 'black boy'?

  • A better question would be "Remember when music was great?" I hate this over produced trash on the radio these days.

  • This is the kind of blues that will chill ya bones.

  • Is that really Muddy on the drums?

  • no, i don't think so

  • Thanks Bluesboy, this is just so fine!

  • the talent beyond the talent.. sweet accoustic. slide.. lil Walter..his harp.. all parrt of fine sweet blues...
