where in mission bay was this? like quivera basin by the barge or mariners basin?, im going diving tomorro so just wondering where theres good spots since im new
in regards to asutherland77..... season is october 3rd through march and you need a fishing license, lobster card and a bug measuring device which is sold for 3-5 $.....i wish all we needed was just a normal fishing license
@sandiegomitch geeez go ahead and watch all the videos i watch. we just did our lifeguard academy in ventura cove and it drops off from about 5 feet to 13 feet pretty fast, i would estimate probably around 10-12?
that noise is the lobsters themselves. I think it is the male lobsters calling for a mate. this was during their mating season. that sound that they are making makes for a eerie feeling in pitch black open ocean water.
really? thats interesting, i will go and research it. i myself have gone night diving for lobsters and can be quite spooky, especially if your torch is low on battery... lol. i know that when you pick up lobsters they make a squeeky sound from segments of their shell rubbing together as they try to swim away.
you can only take them by hand or with a hoop net, no spears or traps. Season is from march through october and you just need a normal fishing permit.
this vid amps me up...
