Where in Japan did you visit? There are plenty of kendo dojo's in the states that you could visit if you really want to learn. Check the AUSKF website.

I actually went to Tokorozawa....it's a city about 30 miles outside of Tokyo....i'm actually not really interested in learning Kendo, it was just interesting to watch,and have a chance to try...

I remember visiting the area when I was younger (lived in Tokyo for 12 years). Glad you enjoyed yourself and got a chance to give kendo a try.
