Wow...this director should have stayed off this project...the original will forever be the best, and yes nigguhs, i have seen it, its on my instant queue, i have it on VHS, and dvd, and blu ray. The movie is just a 2011..."hipster" version of it. Some movies should not be remade...Kevin Bacon will forever be the best Ren McCormack.

Dislikes are coming from the people who were born in 60's and 70's. The first Footloose movie for them was better because it showed what music they were listening and how they danced. For us who were born in 90's and later this is better beceause it shows what music We are listening and how We dance. :)

I thought it was good and it's not to try to make it better than original and your right... it's more modern for the next generation to watch. This is just a bad remake...It looks like the only star is Dennis Quaid...The original Footloose was pretty cool back in 1984 and had a killer soundtrack for 1984...Music and movies were way different back then....this theme just doesn't work now....They are really running out of ideas for making movies. The original was good back in 1984....really cheesy now, but way better actors in the original!

Yay. Somebody took a great movie in the day (bad one these days) thought they could throw some hip hop crap in it, sell it, and it be worth anything. Creativity is dead. How bout a movie with a straight cop assigned to a radical partner (likely black) that screws everything up until the last minute, then saves the day while teaching the stiff white guy how to be cool?
