  • HOUNDerman??????

    Such a shame......

  • What a cutie!

  • what a beauty!

  • seine Pfoten sin voll groß :D :)

  • Sorry to hear about her tail! Really sad. I hate docked tails, but I would probably have done it with my dobie if it was legal, because I am constantly worried about her tail. I can't really relax when she's excited, i've heard so many awful stories about dobies crushing their tails. Hope Kali's doing okey, she's gorgeous!

  • your puppie is sooo cute. i want one but i live in apartment where they dont want dogs and i have 3 yr old and i think a doberman would be the right dog 4 him. your puppie is very cool.

  • Mad dog! Call Animal Control!

  • Look at those big paws

  • beautiful dog and great vid. Im also from the uk. i rescued a dobe called kane, he had a docked tail. sadly he died at 6.5 years old, i got billy 4 weeks later, he has tail and ears and is the biggest bundle of fun ever, 11 months old now. i am personally against any form of mutilation, human or animal, unless of course medical reasons dictate its requires doing. i have researched it and there is no concrete evidence that states ear or tail alteration improves health prospects for dobes.

  • SWEET

  • she is gorgeous, you brave with bare feet with there needle teeth, and i agree with 305 eddie1 the tail looks so much better on.

  • so cute

  • She is lovely. I bet she has turned out a beauty.

  • Lol, maybe its just me but I think she'd be prettier docked and cropped. Its a shame they aren't across the pond.

  • zajebisty

  • ahh zo schattig was mijn doberman ook toen ze klein was!

  • Gorgeous! Shame about the long tail.

  • shes beautiful :)

  • thanks for not doing anything to the ears or tail. they look a lot better with the all natural look.

  • not at all

  • Ironically Kali is now (at the time of writing) 9 months old, and sadly today she had to have her tail amputated by the vet. She always gets so excited and wagged it so hard it hit against walls, door frames and furniture etc and she actually burst it. The vet said the wound wouldn't heal as she would keep reopening it by hitting it against things so the best thing was to have it removed. Ah well I still love her just the same with or without a tail

  • damn that really sucks. how is she?

  • Thanks mate, she seems a bit more lively today, had a bit of a rough night with her when the pain killers started to wear off. She's a proper character tho, I'm sure she'll be right as rain in no time

  • but why do you remove the tail?

  • @Trooperpooper thats why all doberman got their tail dock, but i love them no matter if with or without tails, and with or without ear crop, but their tail is a problem if its not docked when baby, i rather dock them when they baby then when they are older which hurt more

  • @Trooperpooper From one who has owned many; another fine example why this breed should be cropped and docked. All of our were; and suffered no ill effects or emotional problems due to the procedure. None of ours; ever had to suffer the pain and fright of the vets office because of a broken tail or infected ears.

Glad your pup is doing better. They are a wonderful breed.

  • The tail has a habit of breaking though.

  • @305eddie1 There is a reason for the ear and tail docking. Dobermans are known for having weak tail bones and they break easy. The ear cropping was more for guarding purposes. But i dont know why people are so against it??

  • @Martinezlopez113 Agreed.

  • How can not love that?

    :-)

  • what a beautiful puppy! I love Dobermanns

  • hahah lok at those paaaaws! shes gunna be a giant!

  • amazing dog, but when theyre an adult, they frightened me xD good video

  • Absolutely beautiful just the way she is.. It's just insane though, that docking the ears and tail carries a fine in the UK, it's perfectly ok to circumcise a human boy, but not do these very minor procedures to a pet.

  • i think it's great that you kept her tail and didn't crop her ears.

  • Thanks Jess,

yeah no choice in the UK as the law now forbids tail docking, apparently illegal docking carries a £1000 fine unless it can be proved in writing by a vet that the dog is to be used as a working dog.

Personally I love her just the way she is anyway :-)

  • @Trooperpooper wtf they forbid tail docking? THAT SHIT like you said up there THE TAIL BURSTS AND CRAP D: WTF

  • I LOVE THAT KALIIIIIIIII

  • Yeah she's a beauty, a real character too

  • nice job keeping the ears and the tail on your dobie brother. its gonna come back to huant you later, my boy kane knocs crap over all the time, but you learn to love it. geat looking dobie!

  • Thanks man,

yeah it's strictly illegal here in the UK to dock tails or ears, you could be fined up £1000. Given the choice I would probably have had her tail done at the time, but now I'm really glad it wasn't an option, I love her just the way she is :-)

Btw Kane is a great name for a dog

  • if u get ur dobies ears cropped and tail docked in US and then bring it to UK, will u still be fined?

  • I wouldn't think so, I've seen Irish imports for sale here in the UK with their tails docked

  • fact is tho croppin ears and dockin tails reduces chance of infection...looks better...and u wont have smashed coffee cups evry timeit goes past a table

  • yea thats tru but its also very costly. it isn't cheap for those of you who dont know. cuz I had to find that out the hard way. But yea dobies look great wit the crop & dock. once I can afford it, I'll have my next dobie done.

  • really? so all german shepards, labs, and other large dog breeds need to be docked and cropped bcz of infections?

  • didnt say need...look RESERCH SHOWS CROPPING A DOGS EARS SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES THE CHANCE OF INFECTION..

  • no it doesnt...there is NO PROOF that doing that reduces any infection.

  • hehe, think I know what you mean. I got a rottweiler myself, but would like to try out a dobe one day too! They're so impressive, elegant and total goofballs :D

  • Too true :-)

  • hilarious cute girl, loads of luck with her!

  • Thank you, looking back at this I can't believe how much she's grown in just 4 weeks! She must have doubled in size, and obtained paws the size of a fully grown lion from somewhere she looks like a cartoon dog lol, I must get a more recent vid up soon

  • She is so precious!! Enjoy her! Best wishes, Charly, Doug and Kali
