This anime was I think the 4th anime i watch, and out if all the anime I have seen life, and I have seen alot of anime, this one is by far the best an most insperational one I have ever seen. If I was going to recommend an anime to watch for the vary first time , I would have to be with no second guess Gurren Laggen.

I dunno, never really thought about that. I guess Kamina would be hit the hardest since he was the closet to Simon. I'm sure he would get over it quicker than Simon did w/Kamina, they would have to find someone to replace him in Lagann, that's the hard part, who could replace him and control Lagann?

It was Simon who discovered the drill and it was Simon who could control the drill, therefore I strongly believe that Kamina cannot replace Simon's role as a hero even though Kamina was an essential influence on Simon.

@Uruya6 SPOILERS (somebody's gotta warn them): Hmm, I'd have to agree with doom. Kamina had been built up to be an inspirational character, and was obviously the most influential to Simon. If Simon had died off, it wouldn't have hit fans as hard, no matter how distraught they tried to make Kamina. As an inspiration to Simon being a man, it would take Simon to no longer depend on him, and the only way that would happen is if Kamina died.

The actual song? There's Gendou for singles (mostly OP/EDs) and there is Nipponsei for soundtracks. Best bet is Gendou as they have exactly what you want.
