@the209producers: He's fine right now (in AA) because his mechanics have changed. These swings have him not coiling into the rear hip and pushing with it, rather than pulling. His "new swing" has him coiling into his hip and pulling with it. He's starting to get it.

@GBDiddy- No, I also see the downward swing. I've seen it on pitches that were a little above the belt. I think he will have trouble hitting breaking balls (because of the hip glide)

@themetsfan861 take this into fact 25 of his homeruns in college were off of off speed pitches 13 were off of curve balls. minore leagues is hit 7 homeruns off of curveballs and has most of his doubles off of cbreaking balls. hes fine

Interesting. I see a downward swing with a little too much sideways rotation throughout most of this clip. His swing is nothing like Hammilton's. I predict he might have trouble hitting breaking balls. Good luck to the young man though.

ive watched top college players hit with woods bats in the cape cod league for years in massachusetts i live on the cape (chase utley, conor jackson, carlos pena, brandon inge, kevin youkilis) and he hits the ball harder and the bat sounds louder than all of them....he could easily play a league like that and probably put up good stats....legit number one pick....and hes 17....
