I somehow find it amazing, that the game only features 2 music tracks (well, there is the third one, but that's more sounds then music) where you hear the first on in the first 1/3 of the game and the second one for the rest.

Still, they don't become boring, which is amazong, imo.

about strategy, thats no strategy better than having 2 or 3 heavy artillery and u going ahead with fps view and cannon or twin cannon, or even artillery . . . sometimes a bit more is needed but it crushes most of the levels on this game.

OMG.... I used to play this game. I remember playing the campaign several times. I played on Mplayer for a while before they got bought by Gamespy. I remember TW map was favorite for 4 vs 4. I even had a gaming clan just for Warzone 2100.

btw ... I still have the original CD's and just installed it... hehe time for some nostalgic game play.

@SirWillisVvS There are a couple of programs floating around the web you can use to extract them, though there's no guarantee they'll work.

PSX Multi Converter might work, but I haven't tried it.

The key to the game is artillery. Build ten artillery pieces (Ripple Rockets and if you have them, Arch angel rockets) and cover the map with radar towers. Then, wherever the enemy is, one of your radar towers will pick them up and they will have Sodom and Gomorrah on them.

@emanuelshapera I remember in most 3 on 3 games, it was a real gamble of a decision whether focus on arty or tanks.

If you commit 2 player to arty, you most certainly win later in game, provided you survive the tank rush and press.

If you commit 2 or all 3 players to tanks, but fail to quickly kill one enemy player off, you most certainly lose later in the game..

It is one game, where your earliest decisions carry greatest value towards the end of the game.

@FelixPrismus This worked on the Playstation version, not tried it yet on the PC version - finish the previous mission with over half of your time remaining and the next mission will not have a timer. However, if you load that mission, this weird bonus doesn't work.

C&C is also a good option lol.

@FelixPrismus Type "t" during the game and type "time toggle", but don't do that, if you don't want to make the game boring. I finished Wz campaign without a certain cheat and I failed because of time only at once, althought I suck at this game. There's always enough of time and even more. If you still can't make it, I suggest you to try a new strategy.

I often use Mantis>Tracks>Twin assault gun, Mantis>tracks>Lancer/Tank killer, and (if enemy has a lots of bunkers and hardpoints) Light body(bug,leopard or retaliation)>hover>bunker buster. My favorite weapon is twin assault cannon.

hmm, some ppl ask why the music doesnt play when they start up warzone, well there is the music files, its just they're not attached to the game. btw, the real Warzone 2100 fully updated Resurrection project game is about 800-850MB, so don't download any of the crappy versions that say 20MB, 15MB, or even 100MB, because they have the lowest graphics, one multiplayer map, no music, few tank designs, one resolution, no cut scenes, and probably one level on the campaign XD just to let ppls know.

False, 15mb version is meant for skirmish gameplay. Graphics is the same, they've cut music and campain media. Rest is an engine, few textures and polygons. That does not take much space.

the polygons (Pie) only take up about 15kb on the game :P

Very very nice dude. I just downloaded the game from under dogs. Doesn't include the music though, and every mission update seems to miss a chunk from it, like a video flashes but then goes black, with the mission in the corner.... That aside, I love it.

Music and Video is Copyrighted by owners of the game (I forget the publishers, but developed by the deceased pumpkin studios) and isnt permitted in the open source, they didnt change the licensing, so tis now not even allowed by anyone unless you own the game like me
