you guys are dumb the yfz450r is heavier than the yfz450 and it cost about $8000-$8500 and the ktm 450sx is $11200 but i got mine for $6000 at local dealer! but the ktm has lots more power and weighs about 50lbs less.
first of all yamaha733 its not heavier the fuel injection it is wayyyy better then a carberator second the r handles way better then the old version and too faithracing power and money dont mean shit its about the rider any really good rider will stomp another rider out on any track with a stock quad i dont care what u put in the other quad as far as money and power
i think its sweet and it will have better thumb response than the old ones because of full injection and who is stupid enough to get a ktm when they are 3 to 4 thousand dollars more when you could take that money and get twice the quality of parts and the ktm would be blown out of competetion i think anyone that waste there money on ktm is stupid they are not worth it cost to much and you can make any bike faster and better than that with the money you spend on the ktm
okay a asv lever is nothing, mine broke off in no time and the shocks arnt $2000, there not even aluminum bodied, there just a lower end version of the real high end ohlins that are $2000 .. each. The ktm is a fantastic bike but i agree with faithracing to some extent, yfz's are easier to build cheap .. still not a big fan of efi though. I have a 525 however.

Theres the banshee, the outlaw, the quadzilla .. all faster bikes then any 450, oh yeah the ktm 505 and 525 too.

yes but you put a pipe on a banshee and theres a 25% power increase right there, there not that quick stock ill admit, but its only because of the dated technology on them. They respond amazingly well to mods and thats why i included them.

the r is not that much more powerfull then the normal yfz actually, there just about even with the ds450, our yamaha dealership just sold 2 yfz 450r's and my friend has one of them, it is faster then the old yfz but not by much.
the R's arent as fast as the normal yfz, they are about equal to the ltr 450, the the polaris bikes arent that great, they are far too heavy, the ktm is a much better machine. banshees are shit. they are real fast when modded, but if there is a single turn in the race, they are fucked. and the ktm 505 and 525 are NOT 505 OR 525 cc's
your right about everything except the polaris outlaws being heavy, the independent suspension is pretty heavy on the rear end, i haven't rode one with the ktm motor but the 500's were pretty slow. I have a outlaw 525 straight axle and it weighs a claimed 360 dry weight, feels quite a bit lighter then my kfx 440 even after some severe frame and suspension mods. The 525 hauls ass, it will beat a 450 pretty easy and a raptor but i have trouble on modded banshees .. pipes really wake them up
ive seen outlaws run, with the extra cc's they should perform a lot better then they do, and its just not there, they are solid bikes, but i dont think they are up to par with the jap 450's.
my 450 will chew up a 660, is a little closer to a 700 raptor, and will shit on banshees, a built banshee in a drag race is a hard one too beat. but i dont run drags too often, but you can build anything to go fast as hell in a straight line.
its all the rider, i beat a honda trx bored out and done up by quite a bit, there complete monsters in the right hands, the 500's on the other hand .. most useless fourwheeler ive ever seen. ktm comes with 2000$ shocks and half decent pipe on it. plus asv type clutch lever. they also have bore kits for them. but they are expences
