I used to play this all the time on my shitty Windows XP from 2000... Until I lost it. I used to play This, Thief, and Vengeance (Does ANYONE remember Vengeance?) All the time. I also remember having a guitar game where you would have to use your computer keyboard to play the guitar. In the guitar game you were a volunteer for a space ship that could go through dimensions. The intro was fairly good, but for some reason the soldiers that Sarge was fighting had some rather weird looking gear on their backs.

In my opinion, Sarge should have been fighting some strogg instead as to keep in relation to the quake series.

actually no i prefer this game MUCH MUCH more adrenaline when you play it even online or LAN. Not saying it's better then UT just that i prefer it to UT. Plus its faster then UT as for gameplay thus i prefer it.

CRT's have some type of function that makes the screen look flickery to prevent blur or something. i always set that function to 0%.

There is a difference between a cheap one, and a mid-range one.

75 hz is suppose to be good, but for some people you might need 85 hz depending on the monitor.

The end-day crt's had like 120hz at 1600x1200!

Are you sure that the enemies in Quake 1 are Stroggs? - In quake 2 I think the player is not Sarge: 1) during briefing you see a wireframe of your chracter: it seems more similar to Grunt in Q3A than Sarge - 2) at the very beginning of q2, turn back and look at your small ship... there is a name, and I think it is your callsign: "Bitterman" (another Q3 character name)

Doom 3 and quake 4 both suck because the multiplayer is nothing. Its far less customizable, and half the things cannot even be changed, unlike quake 3 and other games, that gave you full control basically. I havent played q4 or d3 in a long time, the only example i can give right now is changing the zoom fov in quake 4. that REALLY annoyed me. If its there, let me change it. ya know? Quake 3 did a great job of that. new games suck
