@magnilsonmelo It depends on the age of the bird. They really need to be handraised from hatching to be truely handtame. I have an aviary/parent-raised cockatiel who is handtame because I trained him to be with lots of love and patience, but he is still afraid of hands. It is instinct for them. Instinct they have to FORCE themselves to disregard to step onto your finger.

Try approaching your lovebird with your hands behind your back. Faces are nowhere near as scary as hands.

well it's cute i just got a new caique cooper and he's 4 months old , but he is afraid of people except me and my husband ,he runs away ,he was hand raised but i think he needs to be around people more unfortunately ,i'm the real only people he's exposed to all day sooooooo! you can see him take his first bath and blow out at polks6.. my oliver ,so sad passed ..a bad accident .so i'm very careful with cooper especially outside .i don't let him alone..it only takes minutes like a kid !
