You people do know that the ban on DDT might have saved the bald eagle from extinction. For all you people who don't know history, the Bald Eagle is america's bird.
DDT has a minimal effect on humans but it fucks over animal food chains, the DDT biomagnifies killing keystone species in ecosystems, messing up the entire chain
@SupremeCommander360 J. Gordan Edwards was a critic of the banning of DDT. To show that it was harmless he ate a tablespoon before giving lectures in the 1970's to show that it had no adverse effects. No one has ever died from a cancer caused from ingesting DDT.
The fact that DDT was manufactured for about 30 years before it was banned and none of the workers who manufactured it suffered any ill effects is further proof that it's harmless. Edwards died from a heart attack in 2004 at age 84.
Poor bastard that had to eat the porridge.
