Just for reference: we made sure Kess didn't know the full amount that we were giving to the charity until the final item was auctioned off. The winner of the final item got to tell her (@11:45), then we called the charity up and told their chairman the good news. (@14:35)
I enjoyed every minute of this, I am stunned that we could make such a huge difference to the charity, and honored to have been standing at the terrifying front of it all. :)
