Andrea your a beast at this, and you look beautiful, but I always wondered why do girls do that to their faces? All of that powder & chemicals on their face, isn't that bad? I always told my girlfriend not to do that, specially when she was w/ me.

@DonkeyKongTie Girls like myself are self-concious. Guys are too (I'm guessing), but girls are particularly unconfident in their looks. I sometimes think it's the maternal part of us that wants us to be as attractive as we can to the male species so we can pro-create.

Another factor is media. We see models and think, 'We'll never look like that.', but we still try so desperately to. We forget that these people have been airbrushed to perfection.

@xnenaxo you know what, if you don't have a huge problem, I would just apply some light foundation under the eyes followed by a little swipe of powder (in case the foundation makes your under eyes look 'shiny') I don't think that will ever look as cakey as concealer often does. That's what I usually do anyway :)

i've been watching you videos from when you first started out but i must say i've noticed that something has changed about your face. you were always lightskinned kinda like cassie but now you look really really pale almost white and kinda redish. its almost like you pulled a rihanna you know like how when she first came out she had glowy caramel brown skin but now she is just pale. im sorry if you feel offended but just an observation

@Judith0100 she stopped using tanning beds since you know...even one time increases your risk of skin cancer (and other reasons Andrea stated). Besides, the lighting distorts the colours as well. When I'm on camera in daytime, I'm merely a washed-out white spot and Andrea has studio lights (I think).

@MissLalaland89 like i said this is just an observation. i personally dont think it has anything to do with lighting because if you watch her videos from 2009 e.g. the homecoming tutorial video, you will see the difference in her face without makeup compared to this video when she starts off with no makeup. im pretty sure she was lighting in all her videos but the difference is very obvious

@Judith0100 well I do think that way back when Andrea did that tutorial, (a couple of years ago or so?) she didn't have that kind of lighting. But even without the lighting, I'm certain it's just a lack of usual tan. Look at Beyonce. She's naturally very light skinned but then when she goes on holiday, she's considerably darker. I definitely don't think Andrea is doing anything to alter her skin tone, if that's what you might be thinking.

@MissLalaland89 I'm Bi-racial & in the winter i get very light but i can still stand in the sun for ten minutes & catch some kind of tan. I like her videos but i agree with @Judith0100, she is much lighter & even if she never set foot in a tanning bed she would still catch some color. I live in Cali about an hour away from Venice & its still pretty sunny. I guess it kinda bugs me because i used to look up to her as a Bi-racial beauty guru & but she does look very different from before. =(

She is STILL biracial. Just because she might look a little paler on camera, her genetic makeup remains the same. Honestly, I'd pay no attention to that if I were you. Sorry if it bothers you though :/
