  • new grifter is it anygood its part of the new 52

  • This song makes me pumped up. I think I'm gonna work out now.

  • Right now where is my Authority cartoon?

  • cool

  • SHAME SHAME SHAME ON Jim Lee and the rest of Image (Macfarlane, Liefeld etc)....most of us supported your work...but we DREW the line at outright IMITATIONS of established characters. I said it before on this video...wildcats is a poor man's version of the xmen...and sadly I am glad that it FLOPPED eventually. Jim Lee please return to xmen...that was and IS your best work....bless

  • @JPMOLLINEAU Wildc.a.t.s comics were cooler. X-men was plain gay until Jim Lee changed the entire thing but since it wasn't his creation he had to leave to Image. Honestly, I wasn't even an X-men fan until Jim Lee took over, cuz they were plain queer before. If Jim Lee just created Wildcats and never jumped into X-men, it would've had more recognition and no one would've said it was a copy.

  • @ShinLa83 OMG you are such a freaking artard. X-men SET a standard that NO OTHER COMIC has been able to reach. Claremont's writing regardless if you consider it good or bad made xmen the coveted franchise that it is today. Furthermore, as much as I like Jim Lee...he is given WAY too much credit and praise. His early work in Alpha Flight is horrible and will shock you back to your senses. Secondly his plots and storylines SUCK majorly. No wonder wildcats flopped eventually.

  • @JPMOLLINEAU

Actually the WildCATs show was ended but the comics went into other story lines for Wildstorm comics such as World Storm, etc. Not only that but The Grifter now has his own stand alone comic that just started coming out with the other new 52 comics for DC as Wildstorm is owned by DC.

  • Dude I never fucking knew there was a cartoon of this as a kid.

  • I'll stick with the Swat Kats, they were actual cats, that FLEW A FUCKING JET! }:)

  • So cheesy...Yet so delightfully catchy and fun at the same time!

  • ahahaha oh wow, this brings back memories. I used to think that they're X-Men of an alternate dimension (lots of parallels between WildC.A.T.S and X-Men)

  • @ge5undhe17 LOL, that's not a coincidence... Jim Lee left Marvel to help form Image Comics, and since he couldn't take his X-Men stories with him he just made up a *ahem* 'Uncannily' similar team.

  • Covert...lol

  • It doesn't get more 90s than this.

  • exo squad along with batmanTAS were the best cartoons in the 90s or for that matter ever

  • @serioushamster Preach it, brother.

  • YIKES, is it me or were these some of the worst lyrics EVER! I loved the cartoon but THANK GOD I didn't know what they were saying as a kid.

  • i say bring bac these things

  • How many think that Grifter kinda reminds you of Marvel's Deadpool? I'm one of them. o_o

  • To all those who didn't know, the main creator of this series and comics is Korean. So am I! :D

  • Wildcats We're Good Against Evil Wildcats We Got Invincible Powers Wildcats Yeeeeeaaaahhh The One And Only Wildcats We're Heroes Not Zeros We got what they Fear so Here's The Facts So We Got Power To The Max You Know We're Tough As Nails When All Else Fails Call Wildcats Nerves of steel Wildcats Here's the deal Wildcats You'd better watch out
  • love this song! must go find....

  • Jesus Christ, what a mess. Joe Casey is either a genius or a god to make the incredibly good Wildcats Version 3.0 out of... THIS.

  • ZEALOT!!!!!!!

lol after all these years i JUST realize it says "we're tough AS nails" lol...wooo i never sung it didnt wanna get slapped so early in the morning.

  • The 90s is strong with this one...

  • funny thing, i saw the show before the comic book

  • The characters were popular in the comics actually. ...The cartoon is like a sad version of the comic which was awesome...and the bad rap verses in the song make me cringe period.

  • any have link of downloaded episodes ?

  • I remember this show.... I never watched it cause it was boring and none of the characters were popular. lol Judging by this intro I'm glad I didn't...

  • It was bland and had to compete with Ultraman and X-men which was a bit more exciting/ edgy.

  • Seeing the drawing detail, animation quality and even the KICK ASS INTROS of 90's cartoons and compare them to the one's of current time, I wonder what went wrong? T_T

  • too... 90's... over...powering

  • Earth-50 is just weird.

  • Badass intro, but the series was a bit weak. Overshadowed by X-Men and others

  • Screw X-men this was my junk!

    Yeah, I said it!

  • no no no. Not WildC.A.Ts. Cant you read the title? Its Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.s cause there is noooo ego there

  • deadpool at 0:37 or at lest a rip off

  • OH MY GOD This Was MY SHOW!!!!!! The One and Only WILDC.A.T.S!!!!

  • I always did like the intro song to this, now as far as the show went........

  • I had this on SNES, totally kicked my ass.

  • I never gave this show a real chance cuz i was so into xmen , but i always took time to watch the intro it was catchy

  • "We're heros, not zeros..."

Did Disney rip these guys off or was it the other way around?

  • This wasn't a bad show at all. But come on, comparing this to X-men? Get the fuck outta here. X-men is WAY BETTER. Any idiot can figure that out.

  • With this series Jim Lee proved that he's got some MAD skills in storytelling.

  • WildC.A.TS. 100000000000000000000 better than them PATHETIC X-MEN

  • 0:37 oh Deadpool <3

  • @TheDarkpunisher666 I'm not sure who that is but I'm pretty sure that's not Deadpool

  • @renagadeprdgy

He's called The Grifter. He has/had psychic abilities but they were eventually sealed off which caused his abilities to instead manifest as an unstable healing factor.

  • @renagadeprdgy I actually compared Gritter more to Gambit since they were similar. Mainly as being able to talk their way out of situations and being thieves. He was hitting on one of the girls but I forgot who it was making it similar to Gambit and Rogue's relationship.

  • so ninties. it's IMAGE-riffic to THE X-TREME!!!! i beat they were just sad you can't make holographic covers on a cartoon.

  • ill stick 2 X-MEN theme.

  • I miss all the action adventure cartoons from the 90's. Most of the major networks have long since canned their cartoon blocks, now awesome stuff like this just doesn't exist on the airwaves.

  • even as a kid, verse 2 made me cringe

  • @Erok9 What was the 2nd verse? I cant even hear it good

  • @The1Returner it starts 20 seconds in with that god awful rap

  • ...what was the name of the team again? I can't seem to figure it out from the song.

  • they should of just called it grifter

  • it's a shame because wildcats was a good comic series in the mid 90's...the cartoon made it into a xmen ripoff.

  • @ionthegravity2

yeah but the animation on WildCATS was way superior :)

  • The woman's voice is what I love about this intro.

  • What happens when you take the x-men tv-series and add a really horrible theme song? This.

  • I cant wait for the new Grifter comic books next month!

  • who is she ,singer

  • Why would I want to be a tough ass nail?

  • Wow, that woman has a powerfull voice!

  • Good Lord...so this isn't some elaborate practical joke?

  • Am I the only one who would pay to get an audio CD from this show ?

  • @ButtyArtist Love it!

  • @ButtyArtist Approved big time.

  • awesome didnt know Jim Lee made this.

  • Comment removed

  • I think this is the wildcats, not sure.

  • are you people tarded Wild Cats was made by marvel it's not a rip off of x-men it's it's own thing so you all need to get ur facts straight

  • @AxeltheRose It was made by Wildstorm and published by image, where many ex-DC and ex-Marvel artists worked as indies.

  • @AxeltheRose

    Wait, whut?

No, Jim Lee created WildCats for Image Comics, then it was Sold to DC. Get YOUR facts straight.

  • @AxeltheRose Yeah Huey is right. Jim Lee made the WildCATS after he split from Marvel and co-founded Image. I've always thought it was so he could continue making X-Men comics without being sued. :-)

But definitely an Image publication, and then later a short-lived revival at DC after they bought WildStorm (Lee's company).

  • @AxeltheRose Wild C.A.T.s was created by Jim Lee and Wild Storm Studios, and was published by IMAGE COMICS (now owned by DC Comics). MARVEL had nothing to do with it.

  • @AxeltheRose Wild C.A.T.s was created by Jim Lee and Wild Storm Studios, and was published by IMAGE COMICS (now owned by DC Comics). MARVEL had nothing to do with it.

  • I'm sorry, what was their name again?

  • Whoever created this was a closet hater of Wolverine..

But it's a decent cartoon though.

  • omg I still remember this on my Kindergarten!!!!

  • We are heroes not zeroes, our only weakness are copyright Infringement laws!!!! yeah!!!!

  • wildcats it´s like the gay version of x-men...

  • Here's a funny bit; this show features aliens fighting each other for the fate of Earth. But what pushed the limit of suspension of disbelief for my best bud and I when we were kids? When Warblade wanted to enter a Karate competition. We deemed he would be disqualified because his hands could turn into axes and stuff and thus deemed the show "too unrealistic". What can I say? We were kids.

  • they guy at 0:38 looked like deadpool lol

  • wild cat is awesome intro

  • This Theme Kicks ASS!!

    Thank you.

  • i remember this... i was just thinkin bout this theme song and the show a couple days ago.... this song go hard!!!... the 90's cartoons definitely had the best theme songs!!!

  • the red swordwoman is soo hot

  • I still have the first comic (#1) of them, they came out at the wrong time and died. They were awesome.

  • @MrVoidsec Yeah, One of Jim Lee's best creations. You can definitely see his X-Men influences (Psylocke in Zealot, Cyclops in Spartan, Beast in Titan)...I just realized what a geek I am.

  • whoa wtf what an intro

  • one of the characters looks like deadpool

  • yo yo were heros not zeros yo yo

  • I remember after this show got cancelled, Alan Moore made fun of the intro in one of the WildC.A.T.S. issues he wrote, as the song played on a television off camera in the WildC.A.T.S HQ. Excellent scene. Terrible song.

  • @DigitalJediMaster all of the 80's cartoons had cheesy metal openings and themes, its what was popular back than

  • @Taud It wasn't an 80's cartoon... wtf.

  • @MrVoidsec well 92, if you want to split hairs : P it had influences from the 80's clearly as it was an early 90's idea

  • @Taud Except this cartoon didn't come out in the 80s. It came out in the 90s, two years after Batman: The Animated Series premiered. We had high expectations for cartoons at that time, which this series didn't deliver.

On a side note, are you kidding? The 80s had the best animated theme songs, almost none of which were metal.

  • @DigitalJediMaster 92 wow huuuuuge difference

second i didnt say shit about batman wtf are u talking about that for? a lot of them had metal guitar themes stop talking shit just for the sake of argument : P

  • @Taud I'm the one who brought up Batman, to make a point. WildC.A.T.s came out in '94 (You said it came out in the 80s). Arguably the greatest animated series of all time, Batman, had been on the air for two years already. My point was, our standards for this kind of stuff was much higher now. This show didn't deliver on what could have been a fantastic series and theme song.

  • @Taud And you are probably referring to the '90s as having a lot of metal guitar themes (X-Men, Batman Beyond, Mighty Max) . The 80s was earmarked by it's love of orchestrated vocal recordings (G.I. Joe, He-Man, ThunderCats, SilverHawks, etc.) I just think you have your decades mixed up. Nothing to get excited about.

  • @DigitalJediMaster

Oh so the Spiral zone, Mask, Dinosaucers, defenders of the universe and Jem arent 80's metal enough?

they were all 80's, this is just in your opinion really

I think you're a little narrow minded to say that without looking back again, i may have been wrong by a few years on wildcats, and no i wasn't referring to 90's like x men

As for getting excited you sent two paragraphs in two different replies to a few sentences, you seem to take it a lot more seriously than i do

  • @Taud Er, no, I don't see how any of those are metal. Maybe you just have a different definition for it, but I'm referring to extended guitar solos and general loudness. Very little harmonized singing in metal. More like the ones I referred to.

And I had to split my reply up so it would fit. Hey, you're the one who started cussing for no apparent reason. You were off by about half a decade. It sorta counts.

  • Ah WildC.A.T.S. WildC.A.T.S. = the Gobots lol

  • i wonder how much dcnu is going to change the characters....

  • X MEN COPY.

  • @mauricioduhart2 nah, the x men actually werent even the first group to form, so i guess you could say they are ripp offs of another comic

  • @Taud well not to argue but the guy who created wildcats was actually a writer for the x-men comic books

  • @kingofimpossible well not to argue but they werent the first group of heroes to be written about, thats like saying everything stan lee ever wrote was a ripp off of another hero he created

  • @mauricioduhart2 Kind of hard to say that, when it was the guy who made X-Men famous in the 80's who created WildC.A.T.S. Not to mention, they weren't even remotely similar concepts, other than being superheros.

  • Wakefield Trinity WILDCATS! Hereos not zeros!

  • i have used to have the toys of this show and knew the theme song. hell i still know it! lol thumbs up if the 90's was the greatest generation of cartoons EVER!!!!

  • @TwistaG i agree

  • wait was that deadppol

  • Always liked Maul

  • i didnt believe i wasted a half an hour each saturday in the 90s watching this shit. well tmnt made up for it. : D

  • WTH they had a CARTOON?

    DANG IT.

  • HAHAHAHA! God this show was so bad. Awesome post though man.

  • WORST CARTOON EVER

  • The one and only wi-iiiiiiiil cats!!!!!!!

  • wow...You can find ANYTHING on youtube.

  • @PatersonFinest even yourself!'!!

  • @PatersonFinest LOL RIGHT..SOME GOOD SHIT TO

  • IF THEY BRING CAPTAIN PLANET TO LIVE SCREEN I DONT SEE WHY NOT PUT WILD CATS AND THUNDER CATS ON THE LINE UP HELL THEY MUST BE RUNNING ON STUPID IF THEY BROUGHT THE SMURFS BACK. HOLLYWOOD HAS RAN OUT OF IDEAS PEOPLE!!!

  • god bless image comics

  • So 90s!!! 90s kid is a happy duuuuuuuuuude

  • What a pile of crap!!! Sellout jim lee!!!

  • grifter is the shit

  • I did like this cartoon back then. I enjoyed it both and the comics. My only complaints are why does Spartan and Voodoo have a relationship here and why does Grifter's gun looks like a mix between a stapler gun and a flash light? I guess it's probably for the censors and all..

  • Wild Cats. Wild Cats! Wild Cats. Wild Cats! WIIIIIIIIILLLLLD CAAAAAAAAAAATSSSS!!!

  • I don't EVER remember this! What channel? What year? Looks HOT! Better than that shitty "rebirth" Thunder Cats on cartoon network which aired last night. That shit look WEAK!

  • I have the comics....I thought it was image comics...when was the show aired???

  • Grifter is officially a member of a DC Comics superhero team.

Which means I cannot freaking wait until Warblade makes his mainstream DC debut. Warblade is one of my favorite comic book superheroes, ever.

  • i hope they relaunch the televison searies with more episodes. i hope theses episode will be better than the others

  • This was the best X-Men knockoff ever made!

  • @rrw1981 knock off? you retard... this has its own comics and franchise for a long time.

  • @rrw1981 This was way better than X men honestly. As a kid, I couldn't help but hate on the soap opera bullshit that used to happen on X men. When things were supposed to get simpler, they got more tangled. When they were supposed to overcome, someone from the future would come and say no don't win, you'll fuck up the continuum of time and space if you win. Then everybody gets antsy about pulling the trigger except for logan.

  • @Styxorcist that's the x-men comic for you, unlike most of the other shows as kids X-men was the comics almost note for note kinda like a movie adaption of a book where they change some things

  • @rrw1981 Sorry dude I'm gonna have to disagree this show was god awful !

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! OH GOD! dude I remember this!

  • Great intro, still have no clue what the hell was going on during the show.

  • I have no clue what Wild Cats is, but the intro is kick ass

  • Did you know Wildcats got sold to D.C comics..... If you read Flashpoint issue #3 Grifter makes an appearance as part of the Resistance ... Pretty cool stuff

  • WILDCATS!!! COME GET SOME!!!!!!!!

  • the other guy looks like Deadpool.

  • Ultraforce was better than wildcats

  • I could never get into the comics, no matter how many times they rebooted t. But darned if the premise is still pretty cool.

  • I remember this from elementary school! :) I also had a 12" inch of grifter! :)

  • I remember that this has a horrible AM time slot, and I could never wake up early enough to watch it on the weekend.

  • jing jing wildcats! jing jing wildcats! jing jing wild cats! jing jing wildcats! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

  • Toons from the 80s-90s have the best intros...

  • omg i still have the gambit/deadpool guy action figure lol

  • wild CATS são tbm superamigos.

  • It brings childhood memories....I do enjoy watching it when i was a kid.

  • the song was doing so well till the so called rap!

  • what's the girls singer line, I keep hearing " they've got a pitiful power"

  • The show sucked. I remember when they used to show some really cool concept art in the end of the wildstorm/Image comics promoting the series, but when it finally debuted on CBS it was lame. The stories were beyond juvenile and I don't think CBS ever gave a rats ass about it. I remember during the second episode CBS cut to breaking news of some dumb dignitary arriving in some foreign country.

  • hollywood make it happen, with a live action movie...!!!

  • can any one tell me where i can buy the complete searies of the wildcats

  • I own a copy of the number 1 of this comic series. I don't know about this show based on that cheesy f'ing song!

  • This show was my backup whenever X-Men was playing a re-run or wasnt on.

  • I would try to record this and the show where that kid could turn into a Superman'esq hero leaving green goo in wake of the transformation. Totally forgot the name of it, if anyone knows please tell me!

  • @mirbez Oh that one. I know the Superhero you speak of, his name was "prime". Some kind of Superman clone. The tv show you speak of was called "Ultraforce". It had hardcase and prototype in it (A Wonder-man clone and an iron man clone in it).

  • @th3w01fv2 Heh, yeah that was it! Thanks for the reply

  • The black girl always seemed to like to ride on the top of the big green guy.

  • gotta love da classics

  • The intro is fun in its pure cheese factor, but the cartoon shined. So much better than its grimdark, ultraviolent source material.

Shame they couldn't do split about the names, I once listed off the characters to a friend unfamiliar with the concept and he couldn't tell where I'd stopped listing heroes and started listing villains.

  • Oh wow, that is quite the terrible opening song. Dont think it ever came to europe, never heard of it till now.

  • @NeoSpriggan yes it was in europe.

  • @hanziskokl Huh, surprised I never saw it. Must not have got a long run or something.

  • @NeoSpriggan Dude, it came to freaking Croatia, which is a god damn hellhole when it comes to this kind of stuff. <.<'

  • wow, i dont remember this at all, did they ever show it in england?

  • i remember in middle school i knocked a kids tooth out and yelled WILDCATS. wannabe bully never said another word to me lol.

  • Xmen knock-off anyone?

  • @Poever

Only on the surface. In all honesty, the plot is largely different from the X-Men comics. Most of the Wild C.A.T.S. belong to an alien race called the Kherubim. They are waging a ware against the Daemonites, a sort of psychic alien parasite. Their style is derivative of the X-Men, but the actual story is drastically different. I used to read both Wild C.A.T.S. and X-Men when I was growing up.
