Microsoft has been pissing me off making the different versions of the OS - as games are getting cheaper, OSes aren't. Sure, more and newer features but we sure pay for them!

By the way there a difference between a Pc and windows. The pc (personal computer)can be anything but it is commonly thought out as a windows machine because of the software's major success within that platform. A mac however is a mac. There is no option for software or hardware you have to buy the damn thing whole. I can boot what ever i want on this pc. You haowever cannot. And the whole thing with viruses. Well that's related to the os's success and why everyone uses it.

Ya i know. But the same can be done on both ends. The problem i find with macs is the hardware exclusiveness. A lot of the stuff you've seen from the mac pro has always existed on the pc. So why not just use pc hardware instead and make it easier? Id like to if possible to run both OS's on this awesome machine i built instead of the other being stubborn and more expensive than the other.

Well you see... OS X doesn't require super powerful hardware to run so using more than you need is kind of a waste, but of course, we always want more than we need. So why do macs cost more for less? Simple. Apple makes the hardware (most of it) and the software. So OS X just basically works perfectly with the hardware, which equals a very smooth experience.
