@T0MMY561 There wasn't really any other 'sports' cars built here, although we did build Ford's in Cork until 1984, and Nissan's in Dublin until sometime in the 80's aswell.
Hino trucks are still assembled here in Dublin (on the Naas Road).
back to the future actually ruined a few deloreans in the trilogy, they had to cut one up for the camera to get in and one was detonated in part iii. back to the future really wasnt the deloreans friend
@kazimann I don't think so, of course it couldn't get the fame if not for the movie, but the delorean car was a car so expected in the USA, far more than the cheap Bricklin, and was compared in test drives against Ferraris, Porshes, Corvette, etc.. and dont forget all the story of the Delorean Motor Company that i'm shore that soon will be put on a movie.
@kazimann hey buddy i was wanting to know if u have this video in its normal format, full quality ? i would love to have this on disc. let me know if u do. thanks
@sztriki He said, "Led up the garden path" - almost like leading children up to thinking its magical and something spectacular, when really its just the end of the garden.
¬¬ they talk about mr delorean as he was a gangster, he wasnt, he had a dm great idea, great car, saw a great oportunity to help people in a hight unemployment place, he was just fooled by bad politicians and that got him into trouble.
Wrong. I own one with a stock engine and can tell you the car has plenty of power. I've passed Mustangs, Corvettes, Jaguar's and other sports cars with the DeLorean.
This documentary is amasing, there were facts I never knew although I had a good idea of the whole drug case.
It's been 19 years since I fell in love with this car and as a true Delorean fan I must say I still have hope in seeing the dream rising from the ashes.
One day there will be someone who will make the DMC comeback...
Thank you very much for posting this video, kazimann.
Wow thank you so much for posting this. I own three DeLoreans and had the opportunity to meet John DeLorean prior to his passing. I had never seen this series until now, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to post this.
thanks for posting this. This is a lot better than the John DeLorean True Hollywood story that I uploaded a while back. Although that one talks more about DeLorean and not so much about the development of the car, like this one does. Once again thanks for posting.
I wish they would've picked a different person to drive the car. He was used to driving supercars. Of course he was going to hate it! Deloreans aren't fast but they're still awesome!
Does anyone know the name of the music used at the beginng of this?.

That said, if it wasn't for that movie, the DeLorean would have now been a very long forgotten about car, in the same vain as say the Bricklin SV1.

@kazimann the brickin what? see there we go, we wouldnt even know about the delorean if it wasnt for back to the future

For clarification, he says ..."led us up the garden path" not pass. It's a common phrase in the UK.

@BIOGENA Yeah, I tend to agree. This seems to be a bit of a hatchet job on DeLorean. Like the writers of this show had it in for him or something.

I really want this as my first car. My parents are willing to pay up to 25k or something. Is it safe? is it comfortable?

My uncle used to own a real delorean. he sold it because he hurt his back in a crash (sadly in a porche) and the seats made him feel worse.

lol you shoulda bought it, and then maybe sold it to me for even cheaper!

You may think it's 'cool' but you'll be horribly disappointed when you drive one! This is a slug of a car, which couldn't pull the skin off custard!

Thanks for uploading this in such high quality but a great shame that the aspect ratio is off (it was widescreen 16:9 and your sample is in 4:3)...
