  • 100 pounds in a hour, what's the big deal?

    Lol

  • @hitOnTheFloor Yeah.. I too had been using it also.. wow.. that's great.. I lost a hundred pound this past few weeks.. I recommend all of those who wants to become slimmer... its in the diet site WeightLossAction.Info

  • Also recommend doing weights or else you'll just be getting rid of all your muscle first

  • Actually as bad as not eating sounds all you need to to do is drink 3 gallons of water a day and one granola bar in between each gallon

  • I lost 40 pounds in 3 months though...

  • I lost 20 lbs. in 30 days, but was sick. I couldn't eat, I had a nervous breakdown. I was in a state of depression. This was 15 years ago.

    ~ ~

Another time I did lose almost 40 lbs in almost 3 months...felt great. I ate:

fruit/nuts with almond milk at 9:00am

small amount of meat, vegetables, salad at 2:00pm

    an Atkins shake at 6:00pm

I exercised 7 minutes a day on treadmill, with the last 2 minutes at a fast pace.

    This was 5 years ago.

  • this is to all the people who think throwling up or eating nothing at all is good for them

  • wow smart guy yet i must be smarter. hes wrong

  • Church Lady.

  • strentgh training builds muscle that cardio doesn't...muscle burns more calories 24/7...even when you're sleeping. I also find cardio boring but if jumping around in place for 45 minutes in leotards is fun for you then "go for it"....it's certainly good for your heart. Everyone on the planet knows by now that excess carbs are the culprit in the weight-gain arena...some are still holding out because they can't admit they were wrong. America ate less red meat and eggs for 30 years and got sicker.

  • @bloozedaddy It don^t matter if its a protein, carb or fat. Your body has the ability to store any excess calories as fat.Its foolish to say you can eat a 1,200 calorie New York steak,6 strips of bacon at 500 calories,a quarter chicken

at 300-400 calories & a salad'couple of eggs go over what your body needs,no excercise & those extra calories from protein magically dissapear. It will & can be stored as fat if its inexcess. It don^t matter what source it is

  • @sumbarine Of course that's true.....everyone knows that you can eat unlimited ANYTHING (well...maybe celery)....all I'm saying is the reason everyone is getting fatter is the tremendous increase in carbs in our diets....grains included...bread, pastas, crackers....potatoes. This is all stuff our mothers and grandmother's knew made you pack on the lbs....starches and junk food make you fat far quicker than protein does...protein satisfies your hunger faster.

  • @bloozedaddy But our mothers made apple pies, muffins & cupcakes back then(Enjoy occasionaly). Since 1970 americans are taking in 500 more calories a day.Fibre which helps with fat loss(Carbs can be loaded w fibre) has been taken out,Taubes leaves out cultures with the leanest people who eat 75% carbs.Beets, oatmeal, sweet potato are loaded with fibre, anti oxidants, vtamins promoting health.I Love red meat & eat protein however I need these fibrous anti cancer, anti heart disease carbs

  • @sumbarine Depends on the types of carbs of course. I go to Micky D's almost every morning to get coffee..that's it. What I see are a bunch of people loading up on bad carbs....quick food....with low grade protein if they get any at all. The explosion in the American diet has NOT been protein over the last 30-40 years...it's been carbs...because they're the cheapest / highest profit margin food for companies to make. Cheerios really aren't good for you. Neither is soy.

  • @sumbarine Its law of physicss.Scientists agree.Your body is a machine. It runs on fuel called calories. They warm up your organs & give energy to work them They help u prune the trees & kick the football. Take in 3,500 x tra calories that your body doesn^t use u gain a pound, take away 3,500 calories your body needs u loose a poind as it goes to your stored body fat to get energy.Carb, protein, fat,hi carb, low carb it don^t matter.Putting aside nutrition,it gets back to calories in vs out

  • LOL

  • I lost 21lbs in 6 weeks. Cut out soda and sweets. And do cardio 5 days a week for an hour.1500 calories or less a day

  • @1204justice how many calories were u eating a day prior. when u were heavy??

  • I actually lost 34 lbs in 26 days... and after 30 days I havent gained any of it back. I'm not selling it or recommending it... but the HCG diet worked for me... but do your research and talk to your doctor before you do anything.

  • why do u always talk abt calories. they have nothing to do with it

  • I easily lost 18 lbs in a single month, and 93 lbs in 11 months, without doing more than walking, and ditching the standard american diet, and I was never hungry.

  • i don't know if this is a real docter but i lost 20 pounds in 30 days i was 180 pounds...

now iam 160 and iam a guy..

so dont listen to this fag

  • @DirtyBlade602 HOW?!?!?!?!!?!??!?

  • @co0lestgirl1

Ok, I'm just going to tell you what i did.

I never ate breakfast and still now i don't eat break fast.

I ate in school but i did not bring money for cookies or snacks etc..

When i come home from school i eat a normal dinner but under 200 calories, don't eat after 4 oclock..

after dinner i don't eat anything i just run for an hour and burn 700 calories on a tread mill.

Repeat this for 30 days and voila 20 pounds!

  • Hey Knope!! You absolutely, positively can lose that much weight. I lost 30lbs in 3 weeks, and I went from a 34 inch waist to a 29 inch waist within 4 weeks. I kept that weight off for 3 years until i decided to get into strenghth training. i did it on 15 minutes of aerobics at a particular time of day. 90 minutes is way to long. I did it on whole foods, no pills. It is doable, pain free and requires you to excercise willpower.

  • actually i lost 20lbs in a month just jogging 40 min 6 times a week, drinking water and skim milk, and eating one meal a day and small snacks

  • i have asma so its hard for me to jog i go to the gym and lift wieghts been lifting for 2-3 weeks starting at 50 lbs now i can to 80 60 reps easy since i cant jog should i just keep lifting wieghts for working out i usaily jog a block to the gym then im huffing and puffing i was thinking of lifting 80 for along while like 200 reps takeing breaks ofc if i do that then i sweat alot

  • Also, If you would do your research, too, you will find that Dr. Knope was indeed obese at one time in his life. Do not make assumptions.

  • Aridaemus: Let's not use wikipedia as an all out authority.

"The caloric expenditure that can be attributed to lean muscle mass is not very significant. The average person who strength trains typically gains approximately 3 to 5 pounds of muscle mass over a period of three to four months, the net caloric effect of such a training regimen is very modest-only 15 to 30 calories per day." Dr. Cedric Bryant, ACE’s Chief Science Officer, 2006.

  • i recently lost 15 pounds in a month from nutrisystem diet and i only worked out twice a week.. :)

  • @shopaholicgalxx How did you do it ??? :-/ :(

  • well all i gota say about this is i workout 4 days a week do at minimum of 50 mins of cardio part of my workout, then on 2 outa the 4 days i go i will go swimming after a long workout , but the key is is what you eat eat small portions

  • how about the colon cleanse? I lost 20kg in 30 days and I kept it off for a long time because I cleaned out my body and at the same time filled it with vitamins, minerals, exercised and I feel amazing!!! Yes you can do it! doctors know very little :(

  • I wish someone would explain how it would be possible to burn like 5k calories in a day of exercise there are exercises that burn like 2500 and hour but I mean something more comprehensive a complete plan from a doctor who knows what he's talkin about.

  • Its soooo funny that he should casually say "you can't do it" when programmes like "the Biggest Loser" prove otherwise season after season. Those on the ranch and off. Poor thing, so negative.

  • @sorrel75 the biggest loser contestants exercise for a good amount a day just like he said. So he did say you have to do this and that.....

  • @sorrel75 you are sooooo right i've lost 30 in 2 months and keep it off!!! doing it his way i would lose 30 a YEAR!! LOL

  • @sorrel75 It's actually so funny that people think this guy is wrong. The people on biggest loser go from eating way wrong and being lazy to eating right and training daily. If you eat fatty all day and don't train then switch over to healthy eating and training then obviously you will lose more at first. It depends on where your coming from. I lost 48 pounds in 24 weeks eating healthy and 2 hrs cardio per day. From 244lbs to 196lbs and still going 2lbs per week.

  • Doing the math it's possible, even if you aren't enormous. But you probably need to have good endurance already. You need to do 3.5 hrs of cardio a day. Here is the math.

    Metabolic burn:2200kcal (sedentary)

    Food budget 2000kcal/day

Exercise: 3.5hrs of biking at 200 watts average (this is not easy but not hard)

Bike outside for 2 hours in the morning. This is a NET calorie burn of at least 1400 calories. Bike 90 minutes at night, NET 1000kcal. deficit of 78000kcal in 30 days=22.3lb

  • I like Dr. Knope, for the most part, and as a classically trained physician, he's extremely smart and has great advise for the everyday patient trying to lose weight. He is wrong however, in my opinion, about the 90 minutes of cardio versus the strength training. Hour for hour, he may be correct, but what about the hours after exercising? It is true that strength training doesn't burn that many calories WHILE you are doing it. It ups your metabolism and fuels the fire for afterward.

  • You might lose it, but it is so much easier to gain it back if you aren't building lean muscle and strengthen your metabolism. There is a whole lot of truth in what he's saying guys.

  • for those of u who are so convinced that losing weight in a month is as easy as counting 1,2,3...then i suggest u look in the mirror in the next couple of weeks after you have lost all those weight...because it is going to come back and then some...losing weight, especially losing BODY FAT, is difficult...it is going to take time..and lots of it in order for it to STAY off....the guy (DOCTOR) knows what he is talking about....

  • If you recall he said lose 1 pound of FAT in a week. All of you that are losing more weight ,its water and muscle!!!

  • I lost 10 ponds in one week!!! No excersize and zero carrots they are full of sugar

  • i lose 5 pounds evrey wekk n loe up to 20 punds month

  • bullshit i lost 55 pounds in 6 months

  • how lol

  • @MegaSports4 i'm not going to lie i was eating way to much at the time then i went on a tigth diet muscle bluiding program and was doing alot of cardio 7 days a week

  • hmm, thanks for attempting to ruin my hopes and dreams. however i know 20 lbs can certainly be lost in a month, so shhhhhhhh!

  • dude if u want to know how to loose weight really quick and easy my sister did it

  • how??

  • just cut out the crap food like chocolate ect to not very much then use cheap steppers for 30 mins a day thats all it' simple and quick i got to try it -.- my sister did it or even 10 mins a day and it didnt take her long to loose her weight like less then 3 months

  • oh cheers man :)

  • how?

  • @jordandcv how did she do it

  • yeah, weight watchers, haha. this guy is ridiculous.

  • This guy is COMPLETELY WRONG! Read "Why Zebra's Don't Get Ulcers" or some or ARt DeVany's work. Most health and fitness pro's worth their money would not recommend this stuff, and doing that much cardio each day will likely cause problems in the future.

  • This is what he's saying

    1) eat way less junk food.

    2) exercise more.

    3) don't rush it.

  • Then again they aren't 15 year old teen boys. I lost 20 pounds in a month.

  • Dr. Knope is correct. Those of you who have lost a great deal of weight, often lose "water" weight from the fat cells. He's correct. Diet, exercise are the proper way to lose weight. For those of you who think he's wrong, go get treatment from Dr. Weil for your gallstones, your appendicitis, your arthritis, your cataracts, your heart failure, and your kidney failure. good luck.

  • my brother lost 4 to 5 pounds a week and lost like 15 pounds in a few weeks!

  • Dang 15 pounds is about 52,500 calories...nice

  • He's full of shite

I lost 20 lbs in 30 days by

    1. eating one healthy meal a day + one small.

    2. Not eating after 5 p.m

    3. running 40 minutes a day

  • umm...he's a doctor, and... ur a kid who cusses

  • How'd you know it's a kid?

  • If i can ask what was your total calorie intake? perday

  • To lose 20lbs in a month only requires burning 2500 more than you consume a day. That's not that hard with the right will power =) Or heck, do it in 2-3 months. Half a year for 20lbs seems too slow to me.

  • I'm going to assume that Dr. Knope has always been at a healthy weight and has never had a significant amount of weight to lose. This 'cardio then strength training' idea looks good in theory (and common sense), but 90 minutes of cardio will burn just as much muscle as it does fat. Try researching 'High Intensity Interval Training' on wikipedia. There you'll find a plethora of medical studies that prove how superior it is over simple cardio exercises....

  • (continued)... Combined with strength training, you'll blast away fat at a safe and optimum rate. You'll gain muscle which will, in turn, boost your metabolism. I know this works as I used myself as the experiment.

High Intenisty Interval Training + Old School Calisthenics = Lean, muscular, and healthy.

  • i can lose 12 lbs in one day easy!

  • sure....

  • These things take too much time in today's day and age.

I once knew somebody who lost 10 pounds in 6 months, and she was proud. Ridiculous. Sorry.
