Hicks was basically the winner after his audition. All the hype he got about Simon's comments toward him is what won it for Taylor Hicks. That's why I don't like this show...it's completely rigged. Whoever the producers want is who wins because of how they portray a contestant's story or whatever. The season where it didn't work was last season. Archuleta was clearly a fan and show favorite, but the voters got it right in the end.
