@Diego3341 Basically it's for showing off. Below 3000RPM or so, the valves are closed, limiting the flow of gas and therefore making the exhaust quieter for driving around towns e.t.c.

But if you go above that, the valves open, and the noise increases to the loudest bellow imaginable.
