It's a black connector rod thing. I admit that I cut a larger one to get one of that size. It is, in a sense, a cheat of a lego piece. It is necessary though, to use it
This is the LG - Rifle. The one you wanted instuctions for was the LG - Bolt-action Rifle, which had the closed bolt mechanism. Does that answer your question, I hope?
