  • i got mine for 38 $ of ebay

  • @logitechmartin DAFUCK!

  • Comment removed

  • how is the bass on these

  • @BIGWHITE514 i bought these a few months ago and believe me dude, these are awesome in every possible way, the bass is incredible too.

  • @plasticsandvich92 I have them too, i love them, but i wouldn't agree with you on the bass....

  • When I got these headphones I really liked them and the sound they produced, but now they sound really aggressive and have almost no bass reproduction... I have to raise the bass on my Creative Gigaworks T20's btw 50-100% for the audio to be bearable. Prefer the sound of my AKG K416P to these for the last 2 years, but they are not as comfy as the HD555.

  • At 4.10 when he starts to speak about the tilt, the top end of the silver part on both sides are extemely vulnerable due to the design. So the Part where you extend the headband and the headphone connects break very easy. Let me point out these are very good headphones, comfortable to use for hours at end .. so if you dont mind using tape to hold them together after say 2 months then they are perfect for using at home.

  • @cacce Had my pair for 2 years before that started happening, and this was a SERIOUSLY thrashed/thrown around pair D:

  • 125,000 th viewer :D

  • very good review. thanks

  • @davidogan Yea, this is a good review. I was going to buy this one but ended up getting the 558's. Can't wait to get them.

  • 3 meter cord?? :O

Well what should i expect, it's for studios...

  • Are those good for producing electronic music? =)

I'm pretty sure i'm gonna buy them

  • @phishydk They dont need an amp. I use my 598s out of my pc soundcard with no problems. Plenty of volume and detail. If you plan on using them with a laptop, mp3 player, or crappy soundcard you should at least get a portable amp. These are really not meant for low quality music / walking around with though. I havent heard these particular ones but being in the 500 series close enough. These are for listening in a quite home environment.

  • what to buy this ones or the solo hd?

i listen to a lot of electronic music house dubstep etc and rock, industrial metal etc sometimes rap and hip hop

so yeah what do you recomend?

  • @luis61961944 Solo is pretty crappy. These might not have enough bass for you. Consider HD25-II or Adidas Version.

  • @luis61961944/watch?v=k3vyRRJjS0E&feature=channel_video_title

hope you havent bought the beats yet yet

this video is from a real guy who works at best buy

  • Where did you get those, they look amazing. For how much ? I'd apprecaite a quick answer. Thank You.

    Nice review By the way...

  • @alexis3170 (Where CAN you get them) (Not online)

  • Do these have noise cancelling?

    I'm guessing they don't

  • glad i got these when they were 90 bucks....they are pricey now! like 150!!

  • to people arguing with vwlolfordlol, you realize he said he's 11 right? lol. btw 3:15ish Impeedence?

  • great review

just bought them and are really happy

    :)

  • is it good for gaming?

and what should i buy between razer megalodon and sennheiser hd 555?

  • @Ryanhood36 if your computer is 2005 or newer it should be fine

  • will this be good for a dj

  • @MrRahulmax No...it's open

  • thankx

  • is this goog quality

  • Comment removed

  • Looking for a set of headphones with a lot of bass? complete headphone noob but i know Sennheiser are decent and beats are overpriced so i'm going to stay away from the beats, can anyone help?

  • @StainedHumanity1 Logitech G35 > Ebay Hong Kong =)

  • @StainedHumanity1 Beyerdynamic 770.

  • @strikerk R The bass for this good ?

  • Responder a este vídeo... No, the bass is weak...

  • @megadotanoob nope the bass is weak, but has a clean sound. For bass you must by the sony xb500,beats studio, bowers wilkins p5,c5

  • @vwlolfordlol you're way stupid if you think beats are better than sennheisers. did monster ever make wireless headphones? nope. beats are for people who think they're cool, but really they're stupid cuz they pay over $200 for shitty headphones

  • @il3160 Well let's not say shitty but "Overpriced" :-)

  • how are these unamped?

  • "where ever your ears are placed in your head"?

  • I've been looking for some quality earmuffs!

  • ugly :D

  • @TheAbdullah13 actually, if you give a fuck about headphones, you'll know, they're ugly for a reason, and personally...mine are stickerbombed. ^^

  • @MattySP34Ks Good for you ;D

  • Excuse me, but may i ask why beats is not good? Is it the sound?

  • @ThouShaltNotComment the bass overpowers EVERYTHING else basically. good for bassheads who have no real appreciation of mid range and highs but bad for everyone else.

  • @ThouShaltNotComment well the bass is so overpowered if u go for the studios the only work with batteries, they have a really cheap plastic and the main reason its because they are to expensive for some headphones with those things so thats why

  • @ThouShaltNotComment the price is hyped up because it has dr dre on it.

  • this over beats would you agree

  • oh my god, is that you Jon Lajoie?

  • I have beats by dre studios... and boy am i happy i didnt buy these >:3

  • @vwlolfordlol That's a very cheap comment

  • @vwlolfordlol IMHO $200 sennheisers will beat out $500 dre's any day.

  • @CyberReview Well, the beats pro detox are $500.. the studios are $300 and i have the studios. Sennheiser is for gay babies -MyChonny

  • @vwlolfordlol is that biased? you should actually try them someday and see what your missing out on.

  • @CyberReview I tried them. The cushion hurts :(

  • @vwlolfordlol really because i've had friends who tried on my sennheiser say it feels comfortable.. you must have big ears and an odd shaped head... or maybe your just a fanboy? I have a friend who has a pair of beats, and actually likes the way mines feels...

  • @HSTxPR0PH37 I'm 11.. and my head isn't that big.. nor is it odd shaped.. i'm not biased ok? Beats by dre studios aren't BAD, just expensive. people say the dres are BAD but they aren't. JUST expensive

  • @vwlolfordlol lol your head is still growing lol. they are overpriced because of the name is all. The dres break easy, and my friend has gone thru 2 pairs because the side pieces can't take the beating after a couple of wears. I use my senn's for music, computer, and gaming (with an astro mix amp) and i have gaming friends who used my headphones to compare it with their astro's and they even admitted that mines where actually a comfortable design.

  • @HSTxPR0PH37 well your friend has solos. Solos suck ballsacks

  • @vwlolfordlol actually no... he doesn't have the solo's, he actually has gone thru 2 pairs of the detox's. and your folks bought you the headphones, lol so your original post that i commented on was for lulz.

  • @HSTxPR0PH37 well then he needs to be more careful

  • nice review

  • I've those and they're incredible.

But I'm going to change them for another headset. I'd like a headset wich isolates better, are a less massif (because i need something for outside use and/or concentrating while studying). Around the same price range. Anybody has a recommendation ??

    Cheers from belgium

  • @pedralicamosa HD 280 pros. sennheiser.

  • @XtremePhysX fag much!

  • hey guys,i want to buy a headset,i really like the headset with the perfect bass, any advice?

  • @TOPCOMMENT

    i totally fking agree

  • @XtremePhysX You need fucking help. lol

  • @XtremePhysX use your energies for good, step away from the dark side my love.

  • @XtremePhysX i love you <3

  • @XtremePhysX wow are you ok, i was talking about YOUR price bracket of "up to $500". cool down you sound a little nuts no offense.

  • @XtremePhysX Sennheiser HD650. I have them theyre well recongnised as the top reference headphones.

  • Are the open speakers loud...

  • @BrishawnKiara

not "loud" but sound does leak out with loud music/high volumes

  • Watched this review with my "old" AKG K702

  • got my hd 555s for over 4 years and its still like a piece of heaven in your ears, when you listen to music thru this headphones

  • tnank you for review

  • 9:45

    "I whack off"

Thanks to these headphones, I can whack off to loud rape porn in the privacy of my own living room and not be bothered by the neighbors again :)

  • @XtremePhysX Never, EVER even give the Dre Beats another look. Those headphones are so hyped up by the hip-pop community and wannabe clique jockies. Trust me, they are at best, subpar compared to hundreds of other headphones.

  • whats the sound leakage like?

  • Press CC transcribe audio, 1:14

  • Im thinking of getting this or sennheiser hd448. Which would be better for use at home and sometimes at school? I listen to pop, rap, hip hop, alternative rock, heavy rock, dubstep, electronic and classical.

  • I have a skullcandy hesh and I want an upgrade. Should I get this?

  • Comment removed

  • @LemtemPoktui Depends on what you will use them for, beware that the bass isn't that good

  • HAHAHAHA Wherever your ears are placed on your hear.................. LOL

  • @mornmorn ear i mean... hahaha... the humour

  • I love listening to my albums. I lie on my couch with the TV on mute and listen for an hour or two every night. I want headphones with the best possible sound for $500. Can someone reply, please, with some suggestions?

  • @AreaCode978 I think the HD 800's are the most expensive, and are considered one of the best headphones in the world, and very highly reviewed for many types of music. They're way over a thousand dollars, though.

The next model are the HD 650's. Looking online, there are places that sell them at $499.95, but you can get it new on Amazon for $400.

I have a good pair of HD 500's I got for free, so an older model, but it's still the best I've ever heard, and I'm broke anyway.

  • @AreaCode978 I love enjoying albums lying on my bed with the lights out. And my headphones lasted long, too. Still going.

I wouldn't overcomplicate things and spend too many hours on this. You seriously can't go wrong with Sennheiser's, especially considering you can get a much better model than mine. I can't even imagine how better that'd sound.

And if you want, you can get a separate headphone amp, but that might be going overboard. I think you're fine without one.

  • @TheOneartist That's man. I got some Etymotic ER-4P's, which are ear canals that I mainly bought for riding the subway, and I'm very, very pleased. Later I plan to get some over ears for around my condo.

  • How does 128 kpbs sound?

  • These or Audio Technica AD700?

  • did anyone who wearing glasses used this headphones and can tell if they are comfortable with glasses ?

  • @nyny99ful do sunglasses count?and yes....all headphones that are like earmuffs work for glasses people

  • i heard that doctor p and flux pavillion use these.

  • i reeaaallllyyyy like high quality audio

  • Great review. I was laughing so hard when you added your phone adapter to the line. XD

  • this or the HD 595?

  • @Destroysall see his other video about modding a HD555 to a HD595. They added a piece of foam to the HD555 to degrade sound quality, really shady- but awesome if you know it can be modded!

  • @Destroysall how about get the hd555 than mod them yourself and you'll get the 595 sound and save money =). Check online there are mod clips.

  • @hawaiiancerveza I think I'm gonna do that. THanks =)

  • @Destroysall Hey all, I wanted to know real quick, are these headphones good for metal?? I generally listen to everything, but mostly listen to metal (both old and new and many different genres of metal). I don't want my metal to sound like crud, so I just wanted to know if these are good headphones for it before I buy them.

  • @Destroysall There are good reviews on these cans in head-fi(dot)com. There are a lot of reviews of a lot of headphones and who knows, you might find that there is another headphone that your looking for. Check out head-fi(dot)com. I go there and because of the reviews I got a few headphones from that place and also people sell their headphones for cheaper. =)

  • @Destroysall no prob! good luck!

  • beats by dre are not garbage they are just no used for professional music listening they are solely for listening to music that you want to hear pure bass on its like putting a sub in your car with no amp its fun but can not be used for anything more than just listening to already finished songs

  • @remixg2k They are garbage because they are extremely overpriced for what you get.

  • @MYsterYmarcus not really if you buy a belt from gucci that cost your £300 its does the same as if you got one from primark or tesco that will cost you the lose change in your pocket i look at them more of a fashion statement than a over priced piece of rubbish if you cared about sound quality you would not just go out there and buy a pair for that much with out doing research and they still sell

  • BEATS BY DRE suck they are only popular because of the By Dre part if they were Beats By Dell or something lie that nobody would want them.

  • @L1v2d1 HAHA, Very true!

I tried Beats Earphones, Worst Piece of crap I've ever expressed into my ears!

TOO Much bass, TOO little Treble and No Clarity. I couldn't even make out the lyrics, and for a Company like Monster I'm pretty much disappointed.

If someone wants something from Monster just by there Products, Not there Product which are also owned by another musician cause they will suck. Like there Monster Turbine series are AMAZING everything else just sucks!

  • beats are the most overpriced pieces of shit i got a pair of sennheiser hd 228's and people gave me shit cause they wernt BEATZZZ BY DR DRE. Dont waste your money too look good, spend it on a good product.

  • getting these tomorrow.

  • expensive plastic by dre

  • @l0Kindor0l lol beats by dre.

  • beats by dre

  • @salsachappy Beats are absolute garbage.

  • @salsachappy its too expensive

  • @salsachappy are garbage

  • omfg dude beats is an endorsed product of fucking monster headphones be realistic u fucking beard no one understands these days buy quality not fame

  • Nothing compared to the beats studios

  • @hawk45653 HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA No. In every way. No. You know nothing.

  • @hawk45653 lmfao, these are better than the beats overprices studios

  • Woah he even reviewed the box ? loool

  • Do these headphones have that huge unpractical plug?

  • How much does this cost?

  • @haorengo he mentioned it in the review.... why don't u go search for it urself, prices vary time....this vid is like 3 years old >.>

  • Which is sennheiser headphone is best for sound quality, comfort and noise canceling ?

  • Do these headphones sound good on basic desktop speakers or is this only designed for high end studio equipment?

  • just bought a pair, cant wait till i get them :D

  • HEADPHONES. Not Headset. That annoyed me throughout.

  • Which Sennheiser Headphone is best for listening to music?

  • I liked the review until you started reviewing the box....lol

  • Hmm im stuck between these and the HD558's they both look amazing sets but i cant find a good review like this on the 558's anywhere was wondeirn if the £30 extra is worth it :/

  • @Eradoogon The good thing about these headphones is that you can convert them to the more expensive 595's. I don't know if you can do that to the 585's, but that makes the 555's a great deal in my book

  • Just bought them. free shipping too winwin

  • You read all those numbers without putting them into perspective. For example the THD and impedance rating that you talk about only make sense when you say what should actually drive these phones (ie. you will not be requiring an amp in most cases).Plus, 15-28k Hz rating doesn't mean anything unless you talk about the frequency response of these headphones (which starts to drop off at around 16k). These are fantastic headphones, but still reading off what is already easily available doesn't help

  • 4:06 made me laugh so hard xD

  • what do you think of hd202?

  • @timur50 I have the HD202... or at least, I've gone through 2 of them. The sound is great but it's VERY flimsy and the right earcup has a tendency to fail easily.

  • @ferociouspokemachine This happened on mine the wire just started coming out :o

  • @Eradoogon that happened to my last pair too :o eventually the copper wire was no more :(

  • are these better than HD280?

  • Damn it i don t like the 6 mm jack :( if i plug the 3.5 adapter i will have a fucking 10 cm long jack in my hand

  • these things are fucking ugly...

  • @cothman I thought the same thing, but they don't look like shit while you're wearing them.

  • DO NOT GET BECAUSE OF 10 FOOT CABLE!!!!!!

  • @13THELUCKY13

    ?!

Thats perfect! The jack is golden..I can lay down anywhere in the room and still use them..

Dont tell me you get any better earphone, wireless, for less then 200€..

  • @dunjak111

I've had a lower end Sennheiser that has been with me for about 2 years now but after 8 months of owning it the connections between the ear cup and the jack became torn/frayed. 5 months after that I eventually fixed them myself by sautering the connections back. They still work but I lose sound every so often. Anway I dont want to pay 200€($295) for a pair that will probably have the same problem.

Now if they made HD 555-IIs with say a 4 foot cable then I'd be sold.

  • @13THELUCKY13

Hmm, maybe you sat on the cable, while picking it up?

I am using Sennheiser since 20 years and never had a problem with its reliable workmanship..

  • @arteelastice Ive got a pair of Sony monitors, they work well. Probably the best pair I've used. I wanted to get Dr. Dres. Yea, they sound excellent, bass heavy, but they seem like they're meant more for looking good. I can get the same quality out of my Sonys, $250 less...

  • I've got a pair of HD 515's. They sound good, sans some muddy bass. My issue w/them is that the left -phone has a partially blown speaker. It doesn't become noticeable a lot, but I do not want it to worsen. Can I get a different drivehead and put it in, or no? If so, how much would it cost? Also, you said 320 kbps MP3's sound terrible in comparison to records: Do they sound bad judged by themselves (audible distortion/sibilance)?

  • hey can you tell me if there is a way nto clip a mic on these headphones

  • @yurikpikh28 I am using the HD 555's with a Zalman Clip-On mic. Thick cord on the sennheiser, so clip ons will have no trouble.

  • @yousellouts same with Beats by Dr. Dre users I used to like them but they definitely weren't the best. Neither for their quality or their price. But at the same time most sennheiser products don't provide enough bass. I am going to pick up the sen brides hd25's soon which are a dj headphone so they should cover bass quite well.

  • Average Skullcandy user:"Hmm... the bass on these distorts too much, these leak so damn badly, these pads are kinda uncomfortable, but they look cool so i'll buy them."

  • I don't know why Im reading youtube comments. You're all retarded.

  • @yakooza That... is the most truthful comment I've ever read.

  • I think they should have made the 3.5mm a screw on, that way the jack (with the 3.5 attached) doesn't look retarded sticking out of your ipod or computer. I know it's stupid to buy headphones like this for and ipod, but im obsessed with sound quality, especially for mah electronic musics.

  • Replaced my hd465 with these.

  • Some of the shittiest half assed mid fi wannabe headphones I've ever heard. The bass is somehow simultaneously muddy and recessed. The soundstage is more congested than standard iPod buds. They have absolutely no imaging at all. I feel bad for you if you think these are audiophile cans.

  • @vassilli0s :S maybe u have faulty ones? or not?

  • Good bass in the headphones?

  • duh... -.-

  • watched this review with my new hd555's

  • @mrennie25 wow *High fives* I am too!!!!

  • @VictorTroska wow you must be a bigger of an audiophile than I am, and I absolutely need high quality sound I previously bought the HD800's and the ultrasone edition 8's

  • are audio technica m50s better than these?
