  • It's pretty neat that Jennifer Lawrence's character and the actress who plays her mom will be playing mother and daughter in The Hunger Games. Gives me goosebumps!

  • @moonstarmist Wow. I just realized Paula played her mom here as well. Totally forgot about it while watching this episode last year.

    Thanks for reminding!!!

  • my all time favorite :]]]

  • This was the first episode of Cold Case i saw.

  • i remember the first time i seen this episode and i never have watched Cold Case before.I was in tears when heard this song.

  • I love this song. 3 years looking for this song, but now a friend of mine sent me.

  • This serie always makes me cry!!!!

  • Was that man who killed her mentally ill? I mean I still think he should still get punished but realistically, anyone have an idea of what he'd be punished with?

  • "Perfect day", "true caling" and now "a dollar a dream" are episodes that almost made cry =(

  • @SteelthehedgehogDX "The road" also

  • @SteelthehedgehogDX Watch the episodes "Family" or "Andy in C minor". Believe me, they will definetely make you cry like a baby D;

  • Another man arrested by the man hating Lily Rush

  • Btw who was the man in red cap and the lady before him? I need to refresh my memory.

  • @Liberallesbians the guy in the cap was the dead woman's former boss and the girl was a gang girl who threatened her at the shelter because she thought she was getting special treatment because she was a white woman.

  • Poor in monetary wealth but rich in love

  • The girl playing the younger daughter in the present is Jennifer Lawrence, who was just nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Winter's Bone.

  • @Wiz83 Yup. That sure is her.

  • @Wiz83

who also plays raven in x men first class

  • OMG...I jus watched this episode earlier today, and maan this song jus hits me everytime, especially when I hear it on that animal abuse help commerical and they showin all the abuse cats and dogs in a cage, yall knw what I'm talkin about!LOL...SN: Great episode/show!=)

  • GodDAMN this song!! You could play it over a Bennie Hill sketch and it'd still reduce me to a blubbering mass of tears and snot. So beautiful yet so incredibly sad :(

  • This song is so beautiful and I saw her sing at the Vancouver winter olympics on the T.V such a great voice.

  • This is my first time hearing this song, it's beautiful and saddening. This was a truly touching episode.

  • This show means a lot to me and my family and this episode is very profound. The music of sarah Mclachlan and her undeniably natural voice makes this episode unforgettable. Perfect from beginning to end. Something for all of us to think about.

  • He doesn't strangle her, he shoots her.

This episode was extremely sad :(

  • I love this episode, it make me cry a lot and i think that it

wasn´t fair that the crazy man had killed the mom. =(

  • He too wanted a chance to get away from being on the streets, to see his son.

He was insane but was losing the mom whom was probably is only friend, in his mind that is

  • I have the opening scene from this episode on my channel. I am planning to upload all the flashbacks as well!

  • this is such a powerful episode i saw this and i couldn't watch another cold case for 3 days without crying

  • The homeless dude who killed the mother should have been shot. Such a senseless death, like "The Badlands", ppl who are trying to do good. Had tears in me bloody eyes! That song, and that reunion of the sisters with the mother overlooking.... up there wilh the most powerful conclusions of any Cold Case episode!

  • suddenly I realise me that cold case always make me cry....

  • Cold Case has without doubt some of the most amazing endings in tv shows history! This one for me tops the lot...

  • @irishkevnaldo i know right can't no other show in history have sadder endings than cold case. the songs, the victims fading away i hate that they canceled this show :(

  • This made me cry my eyes out.

So sad when a mother has to support her children while having no income, house or money - can't imagine what that's like :/

  • beautiful song

  • which episode is that?

  • can someone tell me what this episode was about??

  • I cried so hard when this episode came on the other day...it's probably the saddest cold case episode I've seeb thus far.

  • Same here!

  • I'm a man, and I cry when I hear this.

It just makes me realize how much we all need love, even me.

Not like gay love or romantic love, but just love for your fellow man, love for your children, that kind of stuff.

    Know what I mean?

  • yea!

  • @cooldude333 isn't gay love and romantic love the same?

  • @cooldude333 isAngel of Sarah mcLachlan

  • @cooldude333 Yes. It's called "Unconditional Love".

  • omg I was just watching this episode normally, like any other cold case *the song hits at the end it's either happy or sad* then the sister come in, MY TEARS hit my chin by the time they show the mother I was bawling, after that I gave my mother a hug

  • wow this has to be on my top 5 list of the saddest cold case episodes :(

  • I just watched this episode for the first time from a rerun. This was the first episode of cold case that made me cry... great episode and powerful, too.

  • It's great to see two sisters reunited together again.

  • so very sad. this song was played a friends wake and everytime I hear it I cry.

  • i remember this episode,i cried so much...

  • me too. everytime i hear this song I cry so hard.

  • btw....why the hell was this episode in black and white? It was set in 1999, wasn't it?

  • It's a stylistic choice.

  • what happened in this episode ?

  • About her mother and her daughters living out in the car, after losing everything. Eventually they land up in a park, the mother makes friends with a guy. However with the lotto ticket, she wins about 15 dollars, in which the man gets mad and kills her thinking that it was million dollars, and his ticket out of this place

  • the victim (who was a single woman trying to give her daughters a better life after they had lost everything) was killed by an homeless guy who got mad about not winning the lottery...or winning less than he thought. He was an idiot, basically.

  • @ninalapinta I think he was mentally ill but still he was a PRICK for killing her this episode had me so upset. Then again 'Cold Case' seems to go out of it's way to be depressing.

  • My fav episode

  • u are so RIGHT!! dont know what i was thinking lol

  • cold case has its episodes that are just so heart wrenching. alot of cold case episodes are really sad

  • this was the best episode of cold case ever

  • I've been watching Cold Case since season 2 now, and I think this is the best of all the episodes. It's so sad :'(

  • i think all of them r the baseball player, the brother who loves dancing all these stories are extremely sad, it makes us feel how much anger we can give in and kill someone innocent

  • i think "the goodbye room" is the best episode. the teen mother has to give up her baby, its so sad.

  • Hi everybody!! Is someone able to give me the song's name? Thank you so much! Ciao ciao.

  • Angel by Sarah McLachlan

  • Thank you a lot.

  • Have u heard her song Concrete Angel?? Very nice....

  • limh i cry in every episode

  • it is so sad.

  • He was delusional, and thought they'd won a huge sum, and believed she was lying because she wanted to leave him penniless. That's why he shot her.

  • sorry.

  • Don't worry, it was just a correction.

  • okay

  • I cry everytime I watch this episode. The ending is so beautiful and sad.

  • me too. this song always makes me cry. it was played at a friends wake and it stll makes me cry.

  • I missed this episode. What happened?

  • Every episode of Cold Case is sad. But I agree, this one was very, very sad, but therefor also very beautiful.

  • This episode is so terribly sad...

  • Angel by Sarah McLachlan

  • Gracias por la respuesta.

  • sarah mclachlan

  • ¿Quién canta la canción?.

    Gracias

  • This was a great episode. And while it wasn't the main focus of the show, it did show the huge importance of proper firearm storage. Leaving a gun in an unsecured location can get you killed.

  • como se llama la canción?¿preciosa..gracias

  • In The Arms Of The Angel

    Sarah McLachlan.

  • this song is so amazing

    i love this episode

  • they both are amazing. words cant describe the song.
