  • I have no words, just love!!!

  • I'm a fan of these guys, especially Paul Simon. But that's one homo erotic album cover.

  • @21madmethod I don't see how it's homoerotic at all. Keep your ignorant comments to yourself please.

  • @soapywaffel

I hope you got a good laugh out of silly little spelling error. I got a good laugh when i noticed it.ha ha ha

  • bigleneee you stupid butt, this is music

  • Beautiful piece of music. <3

  • martygills

Widnes station in Merseyside ,England i believe

  • I always play this song when I am on vacation and heading home. It is good to get away for a little while, but there is no place like home!!

  • Great song by one of music's all time greatest bands.

  • Today, in every aspect, just gets worse and worse. To be born in the golden age of music, of style, of living is my ultimate dream that will never come true - but worth dreaming at night. These people bring my dreams alive...

  • written in a train station in england.

  • Sat in few rail road stations waiting to go home after travel the cuntry side in search of peace. Love this song by Simon and Garfunkel, so to hear it agian after all those years,in darkness with out their music.

  • @wiske7834 cuntry, funniest typo ever.

  • Can't respond to playlist. Kiss my ass. I buy their dvd's. Don't matter just looks bad on them. That's all.

  • all my words come back to me

    in shades of mediocrity

  • simplicity

  • Is this the Bob Marley version?????

  • @miniflek lmao :)

  • @miniflek or the Simple Red version

  • can't decide which is more stupid: a commenter that drops the N bomb in defense of S&Gs music, or that 31 other idiots thumbed up. artie and paul would not be stoked,

  • Comment removed

  • This song just proves that a good rythm, a simple drum beat and you can create a classic. Today its got to be 8 different songs mixed into one. Simplify!

  • To MzTjones80 you are my type of guy...I was brought with s&g and Billy Joel, makes alot more sense to me than jls haha

  • Wise words, good music is always good music and should be enjoyed, why should any of us be stereotyped about our music. God bless

  • I remember listening to Simon and Garfunkel when I was 16 over and over again. I loved every one of their songs and still do.

  • what a place to be stuck in, Widnes :/

  • Hmm, somehow I only know the acoustic version of this song. xD Love it.

  • To the one person who disliked this........What the hell is wrong with you ?

  • great

  • Oh the harmonies, the lyrics & the atmosphere of this beautiful composition are beyond words.

Thank you for sharing this excellent quality upload. :*

  • Why have I never heart that song in the radio? There is Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and another shit, but this piece of excellence has never been in.

  • @LibertarianPL Its cause unfortunately todays generation doesnt know what true music is they probably don't even know what their favorite artists voices really sound like with all the autotuning aand synthesization that goes i agree with 1heavygold medeocrity

  • lovely! thanks so much! i wish my man was homeward bound! 2 and a half months to go! come on baby! huury up! xoxoox

  • probley the best song ive heard in my life

  • For some reasons, I love the verse more than the chorus :) .

  • My Mom loved Simon and Garfunkel, I grew up listening to them. She died in 2004, and as I stood holding her hand in the hospital as she passed away, this song was softly playing over the radio in her room... I love you Mom, I miss you...

  • @neominois Sad Story, Sorry for your Loss, simon & Garfunkel FTW!

  • @xEdddie Thank you... :)

  • So, I play by the rules, but "have posted many times" this morning. And you decide to rip my last comment off, delete, delete, 'cuz your security box thinks I'm a 'bot. I copied the letters of the non-word dutifully, but did not get it right the first time. So my lengthy comment was summarily killed. Sometimes I enjoy YouTube, sometimes I think "fuck you clowns."

  • I would suggest this particular take of this song to anyone who subscribes to the (idiotic) idea that is so popular right now, it seems; that anything added to a singer-songwriter's voice and guitar distracts and detracts from the performance. For one example, they like to run down George Martin's generous and talented contribution to the Beatles' success. I first checked out two other takes of Homeward Bound wondering what was lacking, then I found this....this is just plain THE ONE.

  • This really reminds me of Charlie Chaplin

  • How can there be so much hate in the world when there is music such as this?

  • Flash-back to December 1980...waiting for train to London from Newcastle..to see GF..been away for 4 months...suddenly this tune pops into my head and replays for 3 hours! Sadly we split that Christmas and I would sob hysterically every time I hear this anywhere...only recently I manage to listen to S and G songs without breaking down..( he says with tears welling up...)

  • Carol Kaye on bass.

  • I think of this song whenever I am heading home from a holiday :)

  • whenever i travel someplace, this is the song i listen to the night before i leave

  • SIMON AND GARFUNKEL are my favorite artist I LOVE THEM! shame new music sucks and the new generation of kids..I'm 17 and i love oldies.i was born in the wrong era

  • @ilovepaul55 no hun do not feel that way you was born in the right era and to be honest as long as there are people your age that listen too this type of music it will never fade away

  • @appleman2500 aww that is so sweet!no ones really put it that way :) thanks

  • You can shut your face, single dislike.

  • @eternalauthority

single dislike brought three of his dipshit friends.

  • something about this song really gets me.... if i feel down after a hard day at college or something, i can plug on my ipod, stick this on and watch the world go by out the train window, and everything just feels better.

I wish more 18 years old appreciated the genius' that are Simon and Garfunkle. I prefer this any day to the crap out there now!

  • we dont duets like this anymore pretty sad if you think alot new talent has this in them

  • Beautiful music from two musical greats. Their music never ages...

  • As I posted on another S&G thread, I was the only black kid in h.s. who listened to these guys and I got laughed at; called a nerd; accused of being "too white," because I didn't listen to rap music where women are degraded and men are made to be pimps, killers and "nigguhs," etc. Music is music; and it's a language we all speak and understand. I happen to love THIS kind of music. I can understand the lyrics and I can play it for my kids without them asking me, "What's a ho?"

  • @MzTJones80 wow that was a pretty compelling story

  • @MzTJones80 You seem to be very cool, I loved to read your comment :)

  • @JudeOctopus

    Thank you!

  • @MzTJones80 What is a HO?

  • @markvader13 Get a life

  • @MzTJones80

"Music, you now, true music - not just rock n roll - it chooses you. It live in your car, or alone listening to your headphones, you know, with the cast scenic bridges and angelic choirs in your brain. It's a place apart from the vast, benign lap of America. ."

    - Lester Bangs

  • @MzTJones80 I am not a prejudiced in the least, but I do agree with you. And not to put words in your mouth but most rap music has absolutely no class. It seems as though you have terrific, classy taste in music and because of this your children will develope class themselves.

  • @SUFFOCATIONFAN

    Thank you! :-)

  • @MzTJones80 Good for you Good for you. Like in a non mocking way for reals.

  • @MzTJones80

    good man.

  • @greekcypriot004

Thanks, but I'm a woman. LOL

  • @MzTJones80

    LOL good woman.

    haha sorry

  • aww i LOVE this song ! thank you very much for posting it!!!!!!!

  • omg THIS BRINGS BACK SOME GOOD MEMORIES

  • an endless stream of cigarettes and magazines

  • I was born in the wrong decade.. D:

  • @Violetta21TV Ehh if you would say something as idiotic and dramatic as that you probably shouldn't have been born at all. Moron.

  • @mustangred

There you go again. You really have to work on those social skills. When ones words are no better than silence, it is better to remain silent. Now, I'll have a number 3 with fries and that order will be to go.

  • good song

  • lol 'jewdeism'

  • Weren't they just the best? Such harmony.

  • Thanks for posting this song. It brings back good memories of my childhood when my mom and dad danced to this song in the living room after dinner. Thank you mom and dad for the best childhood any child could ask for.

  • @BTC141 lol o yea sure they did.

  • @mustangred Lol! Great to see that someone on youtube picked up on my sarcasm. It only took two months lol.

  • i was looking for this song all night!

  • @5hawnK3lly I love when that happens- you finally find it! Enjoy! :)

  • Makes me smile that this was written in my town ;)

  • @IFaZI and what town is that? my favourite song...

  • @killerkilller1

    Widnes, in Cheshire.

No wonder he wished he was homeward bound...it not that great hehe.

  • i live right next to the train station this was written in =D

  • @deathstrike626 Really that so cool man, great song.

  • There's something unique in this couple (the poet and the one man band)... the unique stanzas with hardly any refrains... that somehow fit and connect like so many jigsaw pieces... it just shows you Simon's poetic genius, and of course, the great love between the two reflected through the harmony of their voices. My mother was at the central park concert of 1981 their last concert. I'd probably mark that date as the day real music died. All we can do is hope someone resurrects it

  • @bayernfan182 Your a real asshole dude if you said that to my face i would punch you in the mouth im jewish and your being a dick.. and music these days sucks ass so hes right

  • Comment removed

  • @bayernfan182 well hey man, jewdeism is way more respectable than christianity.

  • @winkledorf17 first of all, learn how to spell JUDAISM before arguing about its respectability. second, ummm generalization much???? there is absolutely no way in which you can support that. at all.

  • @ThePenetrator1000 i bet he was using the word figuratively, your religions are like childish fairy tales. lol your so silly.

  • @machinecrusade Shut the fuck up, you don't need to insult the beliefs of others.

  • @smedly500 Although your statement is a little ironic, and I'm not gonna go looking for what he said, your right in most cases.

  • beautiful voices

  • good

  • So catchy!

  • this has been stuck in my head for like an hour!!

  • SNL long ago in the 1970's did a video to this song.... I haven't seen it in a long time time, it is/was truly beautiful

  • "Homeward Bound" is a 1966 song by Simon and Garfunkel, recorded on December 14, 1965. Paul Simon is said to have written the song at the former Ditton railway station in the town of Widnes, in the north-west of England, while stranded overnight waiting for a train. The song describes his longing to return home, both to his then girlfriend, Kathy Chitty in Brentwood, Essex, England, and to return to the United States. It remained on the charts for 12 weeks.

  • @bernie5470 everyone in Merseyside will tell you he wrote it in their town. Ive heard Newton le WIllows a lot and various St Helens boroughs, including Widnes.

  • I love this tune......so good

  • The other side of the music business.

All my words come back to me , in shades of medeocrity.

  • This is a fantastic song by Simon and Garfunkel. They are legends. I have their greatest hits record and Sounds of Silence record.
