I don't know.... maybe Autechre is just having a laugh. Will the public accept any random noise? What if this is just the result of a random sound generator and Autechre didn't do any planning whatsoever... and they put random crap on a cd... just to see if their fans will accept it as genius. It certainly sounds cool and is interesting... but I'm not convinced this isn't just a random assortment of noise.
@RpKingman : if you listen you'll hear the rhythms slowly morphing in to others.. sometimes over a couple minutes. they've said they have some set ups where equations are used to change a rhythm over a certain amount of time.. you can hear it, but you almost have to train you ear for it.
I have always said Autechre is analytical listening and with all their albums years down the line the albums just get better and better but I havent with this album I dont know why time I gave it some serious listening I hope it does what all Ae albums do and I just find hidden gems of hidden sounds in the layers of noise and anarchis chaoticness that is untitled 2 am sure there is time will tell ! Am sure there is an AFX sample in this of the Druqz album ! The sound at 5.30 is amazing though !
@DjMikeNeptune I used to think that but after days and days listening to Autechre stuff i can say that NOT annoying at all, so much details, and random beats, that's so good to hear that
@wolftickets1969 Yep. Their methods are very inspiring. Max/msp seems a bit over my head at the moment (I have no programming experience) but some of their patches are so insanely cool that I'm thinking I might have to learn it!
Meanwhile, on Pinkamena's iPod...

If you took an Aston Martin's engine apart and looked at all the bits lying there you'd be like What the Fuck is this Shit?

@RN9UK I disagree, upon further investigation a well worn Pikachu yields better results

i love how the beats get so fractured and chaotic that the only thing you can "hold on" to rhythmically is the synth line in the background

@WillHerndon FYI, the random-sounding broken beats are algorithm-generated sequences.
