  • I love the picture of the orchestra; in period costumes as well as playing period instruments!

  • wonderful...it is the first time i listen to this...

  • Thanks for posting this. However, I'm fairly sure Vivaldi never wrote anything in B Major. Perhaps this is B flat?

  • Yes indeed, it's not in B major, but in B "flat" major, thx ! :)

However, vivaldi wrote in B major; see the concerto La Primavera RV269 for exemple.

  • @Harmonieuniverselle Isn't that one in E major?

  • @peres010492 No; the RV 162 is writen in B flat.

  • @Harmonieuniverselle I was talking about Spring. You said it is in B major xD

  • @peres010492 Ah yes, and indeed and of course la pripavera is in E; the fact is that I am french, and we use another way calling the music notes, not with alphabetical letters "c d e f..." but "do ré mi fa..."; and my mistake 1 year ago came from that; I thought that B is "mi" wich is E. So indeed, Vivaldi didn't wrote in B maj.

Thank you, both of you, for your correction ;-)

  • @Harmonieuniverselle I'm portuguese, we also use dó ré mi fá xD

  • @peres010492 You are totally correct.

  • This sounds more like a sinfonia or concerto ripieno, no?

  • Yes, it is a sinfonia! :-)

  • Through popular usage _concerto_ implied the forms and styles it was most associated with, just as the sinfonia. So, you are correct, it is a matter being "more like," though, _concerto_ remains perhaps 'less correct' (or at least specific) rather than 'incorrect.' With Vivaldi, we do see concerti named as such without concertino, particularly for strings.

  • Oh Vivaldi!

    ist immer eine Freude, den....

    Ich mag diese Befugnis Bewegungen!

    Vielen Dank für dieses Schönheit!

  • Superb! Thanks for uploading!

  • Vivaldi est toujours aussi agréable à écouter.

    Merci pour cet envoi.

    Bien amicalement.

    Jean-Pierre. (Belgium).

  • Increible y magnifico!

Thanks for this wonderfull art, I love this theme... but... I can't found it in my country.

Here we have some baroque palaces and other buildings from the Spain´s Colony... a true treasure... I love visit it.

  • BEAUTIFUL. 'Nuff said. Vivaldi, nicknamed "The Red Priest" because of his flaming red hair, was a genius.

  • who's Nuff?

  • that's an abbreviation for "Enough." sorry about that.

  • no. I'm just stupid.

  • No problem. That's why it was so strange the first and third mvt. were the same!!! I understand now...I thought Vivaldi went crazy for some time...you know "musicians" very emotional sometimes. ;)

  • Beautiful! Thanks for sending me this video.I love your pictures on the videos and of course your taste.Awesome music!

  • Very beautiful,like always..

  • wow, very nice concerto, rewarding. Thank you for this moment.

  • You welcome.

  • This Clasic orchestra?

  • No, it is a dutch baroque music chamber ensemble (orchestra): "Concerto Köln".

  • this is the ''Gardellino'' ??

  • No. The "Gardellino" is a concerto for flute op.10 no.3 RV428, and also the concerto "da camara" RV90 with different instrumentation.

Here is the first mvt Allegro

    "my prefered intrepretation!"

  • this is subtle, and delicate. thanks for sharing.

  • You welcome!

  • ..Beautiful!

    thanks

  • Very very SORRY! I put the first mvt "Allegro" instead of the third mvt "Allegro assai" in the preceding video, now here is the "true" concerto RV162. Once again, sorry! :)
