When I saw the intro while Megaman was standing on the train, he reminds me to Astroboy and I like it. What a great game intro, what a great game but those covers doesn't help too much.

Yes, even just the slow melody of the theme would've improved the movie. I don't know about anyone else, but I felt there was no emotion when Toby died in the movie. They didn't even show his body. They really dumbed it down.

@Prizm4 Well, I thought Tenma grieved a great deal. And the moviemakers had to be careful about the depiction of the death. The film was meant to appeal to general audiences, to introduce the character to a new generation. And I think it succeeded. BTW, I think the American version of this song is better and should have been included in the movie somewhere

mm I think its got the vibe of a regular american kids 3d animated film, which will still make it more enjoyable in my eyes to see however its a let down that we are probably not gonna see killer villans like Atlas or Pluto, which is alright kinda for me, I hope it gets kids interested to hit the youtube search bar and they get into the classic stuff and watch the classic show :D

The principle behind Astroboy is amazing for me. It is simple at face value, yet the sentiments and underlying human values it projects are second to none. Even today, I think this stands as one of the master pieces of children's TV and I'm bewildered as to why we haven't got it yet here in the UK. The only real counterpart now is Studio Gibli.
