  • I used to love this girl named Paulette...but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • Where can I see this show!!!

  • @15yjnmfshx the whole show is posted on youtube

  • Just saw this show last night... I loved it! Such a fun show, Paulette is hilarious (:

  • 3 people got shot in the knee

  • I am in love with this song that everytime I have a problem I listen to this and it helps:) gotta love CELTIC MOODS!<3

  • This musical is seriously brilliant. Every song inspires me in different ways, and I strive to play paulette at some point in my life.

  • @Correctionman123 that's the point

  • I loveeeee this song...but I can't get rid of 'Colors of the wind' out of my head every time I listen to this.

they are kinda similar to me...and I love both songs Wooh~

always makes me go back to see Pocahontas after listen to this haha

  • This is the BEST example of "Don't try to be funny." This IS a funny song, but this is a true song as well. This actress didn't ONCE smack the funny in your face. She was true to the character. In writing or acting, don't try to be funny and you might get something as beautiful and funny as this song.

  • i love paulletes character, i wish she was my friend. <3

  • XD I love this song!!!! Proud to be part Irish!!!!

  • Whales.

  • does anyone know the actual artist for the song "Celtic Moods"?

i've been searching for that song but i can't find it... maybe it doesn't exist?

  • @skaplis Sorry to be the one to break the news but "Celtic Moods" is just a made-up piece of music for the musical! I'm sure you can find stuff like it though :)

  • I ♥ this song! I'm using it for my school play audition.

  • give my love to the leprechauns <3

  • ...yes. Fed-ex, UPS.

  • I wish we could do this at our school. Except, it's middle school and Legally Blonde isn't the middle school type. xD It's not the most appropriate for Middle school. Ah oh well. I hope I do this show sometime in my life because it looks like it will be totally fun!

  • The melody of this song sounds familiar, but I don't know where I've heard it. I'm sure the writers sampled it, I just don't know from which song...:-(

  • CELTIC MOODS! Lol I died. At the show I thought she said "Celtic moos" and when the Fed-ex guy stuck his buttt in paulettes face some girl yelled "PARK IT!" The audience laughed

  • URGH I hateee THIS VERSION .. its been computerized, the actul version the vocie is alot more stonge and musical like, they had to done it down for the cd...URGH! to make it more "commerical"

Cant wait till this comes to Westend in Dec, its really close to me and has an AMAZING cast!

  • What?? Everyone knows Enya!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @RobynOrlaBrowne95 it is true i have hear of enya and the whales but dont no wat it is about

  • yeah i agree with you, but why do people get made fun of for being from Texas anyway?

  • lol Oh MY God is good fun i must admit, would be fun to perform it.

  • This song is so sweet and Paulette has a beautiful voice! Great musical!!!

  • Well I have watched bits of it and I t hink it has its ups and downs imo. I do like "So much better" lol

  • Fair enough but believe me I can take piss takes of my own culture, but I'm attacking the way in which this is done. Believe me, half the theatre over here involves plays which mock the general culture and history. That's not really what it's about. And it doesn't make all that sense to say "anger should take a back seat to c ulture" - the two aren't incongruous. It's not about me accepting the culture of theatre, I'm a HUGE theatre fan. And it's nothing to do with quality either.

  • great song!! I love Legally Blonde- i hope i can see it when it comes to the West End!!

  • I thought whiskey was scotish???

  • So you live in Ireland yet you've never heard of Bushmill's Whiskey? And as for your question, what do you think "Scotch" is?

  • I have a cousin in wales and he has never heard of brains beer

  • OMG SHUT THE FUCK UP! ITS A SONG FROM A MUSICAL YOU REALLY NEED TO GET A FUCKING LIFE! BEOUR U GOT SOME CHIP ON YOUR SHOULDER LIKE!!

    Shlaterzz...

    RieRie OUT!

  • Seriously just because ppl like muiscals dosnet they dont have a life!!!!!!!!!!! and if you want ppl to go get a life y dont you get ur own instead of telling ppl wat to do.....ok ,ok

  • I love Paulette! XD

  • chill it's just a song

  • Could you sound anymore dimwitted? It's a very insensitve song but it's as a result of American stupidity and utter ignorance!!

  • That is the point, Paulette isn't supposed to be that smart. Obviously you have never seen the play.

  • I don't have to see it, I've seen the film and I'm well aware of what kind of aperson Paulette is - but what she says here is just entirely offensive and not in a funny way. I'm not even sure the writers realise that the reference is there which highlights the ignorance. You have to be from here to understand where I'm coming from.

  • SageI222returns

You are the most stupid perso I have ever heard

There is nothing offencive abput this song

and before you ask I do live in ireland and youre just stupid

  • Omg HAHA for a start you have made yourself sound entirely ignorant and you can't even spell. And there is something offensive about it and if you were from the North you would know that. It's an idiotic song so far as referring to Irish stereotypes and the reference to shooting you rboyfriend in the knees is oh so ignorant. Also - these stereotypes DO perpetuate - I know a Londoner who worried about going to a Belfast uni because he thought students go back to their farms at weekends!!

  • Listen... Its a friggin song on youtube

its not gonna make any difference to your life if this song mentions something you find offensive

    GET A LIFE!!!

  • Oh good god, the irony. AND THIS is just a person commenting on a song on youtube so if it's so unimportant then why do you persist on replying to my comments? If it's so stupid then just let it be!

  • because it's in human nature to argue and always want to be right. And btw, indulging on my own human nature, it's called 'comedy' for a reason. But you are right, people make a huge deal over simple comments on videos when there are more productive things to do. Good for you for sticking up for yourself and your opinions, even if I don't agree with them.

  • Well thanks for that and yes I am aware it is a comedy but due to the nature of this particular comedy I question whether this particular remark has been said only out of ignorance. I'm essentially saying that the remark isn't really suitable from this sort of show and I'm not entirely sure they understand it themselves.

  • You're welcome. And you bring up a very valid point.

  • my friend was pauleta in this play... in her group theater stuff shes so good

  • She's talking about the Scots, not the Irish!

  • chills

  • loved it

  • I wanna see this in decemeber!

  • It's called CELTIC MOODS!!!!!!!! XD

  • At 2:07 it sort of reminds me of "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas...

  • i thought about that the first time i heard it xD

great minds think alike =P ;D

  • I know I thought that too!

  • omg i know lol

  • Ireland rules!!

  • and i dont know why i got thumbs down for my last comment.. its true tbh :L

  • i like the ireland reprise betta

  • im from ireland its the best place going

  • In Ireland they know how to love you

You embrace in the misty Irish breeze

And if your Irish boy tires of you

You're allowed to shoot him in the knees

^ i dont like that verse..

shows people how bad ireland is.. how violent it was.. :/

  • me 2

  • I don't have anything bad to say about this song or anyone with anything to do with it, I just want to say that they're not Irish bagpipes, they're Uilleann Pipes...

  • that's kind of weird to know the difference, but oh well. Love this song 2

  • On a side note, its funny how she basically yells CELTIC MOODS!... Though I don't really get why she yelled xD

  • This song kinda explains my life. Jk. But I still love it (and Paulette) <3

  • Agreed. xDD I love Paulette.

  • thank you america !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is some feckin' good shit!!

  • woo im half english half irish

  • Comment removed

  • dude im irish to (partially) but the only reason YOU HAVE A SONG is because of AN AMERICAN broadway play based of an AMERICAN movie. so screw u

  • Fahteen beahs. :D

  • wow, I love this song, the singer really does a great job pin pionting the portent parts.

  • Eh no,, bagpipes are not JUST Scottish. The Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe and Irish uilleann pipes are the two main types of bagpipes. so, do ur research!!!

  • whats up with all the people arguing about the bagpipes lol just enjoy the song :P

    i <3 this song!!!!!!!!!

  • Of course there aren't leprechauns. Everyone knows they don't exist. But there are gobs of fairies. :)

  • who cares about the bagpipes... ireland is a brill country and this song is D BEST

  • exactly, ireland can also be acquainted with bagpipes, soooooo there.

  • its the joke...she really doesnt know much about Ireland

  • but ireland still has bagpipes so yeah. how about you do some reasearch too before you shoot down people are just saying that it has bagpipes in the song.

  • i know ireland had bagpipes :O, every country has bagpipes, even the musical Mamma Mia contains a bagpipe

Scotland is known for it's bagpipes. Even though the bagpipes originally came from india and pakistan

  • r u deaf liilMIZZblondie? can't u hear the bagpipes?

  • dude, scotland is known for it's bagpipes, not ireland

do some research before you're trying to look smart... the girl was right... she makes a lot of mistakes in her description of ireland. but most things are right

  • this song rocks

  • Haha this song so isn't Irish-y at alL! lol I love it tho

  • i lerved this musical :)

  • it's called CELTIC MOODS!!

    haha love orfeh.

  • I need some advice:

Would I be totally crazy if I competed in a musical theatre singing competition with this song? It's for a high school drama competition, and I need a song, and I love this one, but would it be appropriate? Any advice would be very much appreciated! :D

    Thank you in advance.

  • Is it for ITS?

  • No, it's for Lenea. ( I think that's how you spell it. lol)

I wound up doing "Little Girls" from Annie instead. lol. Different, but just as fun. :D

  • Oh, never heard of it. I thought you might have been doing an IE for ITS.

  • We don't have bagpipes.... we have Uilean Pipes!!!.... :p

I had to laugh about the farm bit as well...

    oh man... lol

  • Actually no its not!

  • I love her!!! This is like the song best ever! And i can sing it good and its one of the few songs in this musical i can sing without sounding pitchy!

  • Same!

  • well the character's not supposed to be too bright so it's prob intentional

  • I think that she sounds just like the paulette like the movie! I think that shes just perfect for the part!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA! I love this song 'and if your irish boy tires of you you're allowed to shoot him in the knees'

it makes me laugh. do the disco!

  • I love this song, I performed it at a papermill theater fundraiser it was a blast

  • i think the bagpipes thing is ment to be a joke. becuase shes abit stuiped.

  • ah well i dunno still a reallllyyy good song haha

  • isnt that relaxing??... it's called KELTIC MOODS!!

  • you get irish pipes as well... which are the ones you hear in the song.

  • she didnt write the song smart one!

  • its just a song. i mean no offense but everyone is taking it so seriously! someone wrote the song for people to enjoy and didnt expect everyone to be annalyzing it.
